Jan. 12th, 2010 10:00 pm01. At the library, I helped a couple find sample questions for the test for US citizenship. Felt awesome after.
02. Agreed to sub three days of middle school PE in a row. OMG AM I A GLUTTON FOR PUNISHMENT??
Although the times I've done single days have been fine.
03. Southland premiered on TNT. REALLY enjoyed it. The permiere was commercial free and I was surprised that my attention never wandered. Pleasantly surprised. Very much looking forward to seeing more. I'm hoping I won't miss too many because of meetings (at least two a month, stupid city council). But I suppose that's what the internet is for after all.
On a shallow note, I appear to have a thing for Ben McKenzie's profile. ::shrug:: I think I always did. Something about his nose. (I never really watched The OC, but I enjoyed Junebug.) And, of course, Michael Cudlitz is just...hot in a very solid way. Mmmmmmmmmm. I like his profile, too.
And, omg, they're good. That scene outside the house? "You're a cop because you don't know how not to be one." Whoa.
God. I am REALLY EXCITED for this now. I mean, I was sure I would enjoy it, but I'm close to making grabby hands and pleading, "More now? Pleeeeease?"

ginnith did a fantastic thing and reminded me that with no Big Bang, I can have fun with the Porn Battle and not feel guilty. So I can go back to what I do the best the most: writing short, dirty fic.
06. PORN BATTLE. Coming up! I swear, porn battle time is my favorite time. I only wrote two for the last one, three for the one before. My first attempt (porn-wise and battle-wise), Any Other Name, is still one of my personal favorite of the things I have written.

Nov. 10th, 2009 09:55 pm01) Thanks to justhuman I now have an account over on Dreamwidth. I don't have great plans to use it at the moment, but it's there. Mostly I'm thinking about DW-based fic-related activities.
Anybody on my flist over there? I vaguely remember one or two people mentioning it, I think. I'm sticking with "annundriel." Because it's familiar. And because I still like it. No reinventing myself here.

Shallow NCIS Post Is Shallow

I'll be watching NCIS pretty casually this season. I usually have a meeting to go to on Tuesdays (city council or port), which leaves about one Tuesday a month when I'm not out. Maybe two, if port doesn't run for five hours. And, okay, there is the option of watching it online, but I'm really bad at sitting down and doing that for 42 minutes. We'll just see how it goes.

Because Tony and Tim are brilliant. omg.
From Tim coming in all smooth after the weekend, fixing Tony's computer like it's nothing with the press of a button to the end with the brush of fingers and Tony's fumbling. And the reveal. I love it, I really do.
But now I really want to read post-episode fics (which I have yet to run into).
Oh, and now I have a new idea for one myself...

Meanwhile, the wind is freaking me out. I moved all of the vehicles, so hopefully there will not be a repeat of last time it was horribly windy (involving broken glass and crushed door-frames.) I do not like this.

I was happy to see that even though I haven't exactly been super hyped for these shows, all of the squee came back while watching. See, the problem with shows returning this week is that they're beginning when all I want to do is watch Due South. It has taken over my brain in the best way possible.
Plus, it's like playing Spot the Vaguely Familiar Canadian Actor. A couple of episodes ago Apophis was driving a cab.

Not Judging You, Just Evaluating

Tonight my parents and I were senior project presentation evaluators at my old high school. The four presentations I saw were all very good, but they had the occasional typo/slip like the one above. I sat there for a couple of minutes just going, "Wait a minute..." So I debated with myself whether to mention it and finally wrote, "Nice presentation blah blah good things. Typo on second to last slide." I didn't want to make a big deal of it, since the presentation is over and done and, really, a few "um"s and "uh"s and a typo in an otherwise decent presentation should not knock the criteria from an A to a B.
There was that and then there was the girl who wrote that she had "five brothers and three sisters" but when she got there she paused, stared at what was on the screen, and said, "Uh. No. I have two brothers and three sisters. Whoops?" Being a small town, everyone had already been going, "What?" It was amusing.
Interesting being on the evaluator side of the proceedings.
Then we came home and watched ( NCIS )
Meanwhile, I am two episodes into season two of Without a Trace and I'm loving the little bits of background story they're dropping. For example, Martin hitchhiked cross-country and taught accounting at a state prison. The first thing surprised me when he mentioned it off-hand and the second thing made me laugh and laugh when he explained it to Danny because, oh Martin, you nerd.
Also, I love this song a lot.
