Tonight's NCIS
Mar. 24th, 2009 10:26 pmI got stuck on one thing:
DiNozzo in boarding school.
Well. And McGee being all adorable and nature-boy. And Tony helping him out in a round-about way with the golf clubs. Oh, guys.
But the boarding school thing.
See, I kind of have this thing for stories set in boarding schools or at university. There's an unfinished Without a Trace AU that I absolutely love that transplants Martin and Danny to a boarding school setting.
NCIS is not a show that I have ever really considered AU possibilities for (something which I've been thinking about lately), but now I've got teenaged Tony running through my head. And baby-faced McGee transferring in and Tony being horrible in his Tony-like way but egged on by peers. Until, I don't know, the teacher Tony most looks up to (Gibbs) forces them to do a project together. Or Tim becomes Tony's tutor (because I think that would really get Tony).
It's crack. I know it's crack. But the image of teenaged Tony and Tim driving each other bananas makes me grin. And obviously things would go the sex route because Tony would still have that weird fascination he has for McGee and he'd find himself suddenly doing things without knowing why. (Tony's not really much for introspection. Plenty of things have happened that he clearly hasn't thought through or thought about the implications of on the show.)
Looks like I found something creative to poke at for the day.
Meanwhile, the wind is freaking me out. I moved all of the vehicles, so hopefully there will not be a repeat of last time it was horribly windy (involving broken glass and crushed door-frames.) I do not like this.

Date: 2009-07-04 12:00 am (UTC)You've reminded me how much I want to see this. Now I may actually have to, like, poke at it some until it results in something.

Date: 2009-07-04 02:09 am (UTC)I'm really hoping that you make something out of this because it sounds like it would be a great story. :) I'll have to keep my eye out for it now.

Date: 2009-07-04 02:22 am (UTC)Absolutely this.
Since there's an age difference, I see Tim transferring in after being skipped a grade or two. And at first Tony trying to use that to tease him, but Tim on the show has always been so comfortable with the fact that he's not the alpha-male type Tony and Gibbs are, that I think it would just roll off his back and that would drive Tony crazy and make him more interested. I just can see Tony wanting Tim to pay attention to him even when all of Tony's other friends think he's crazy.
I can't really promise anything, since right now my muse is being distracted by Supernatural, but this idea is now definitely in rotation. :)

Date: 2009-07-04 04:15 am (UTC)Supernatural has a way of sucking you in and not letting go. So I totally understand. I just hope this little plot bunny stays with you until you're in the mood to work on something new. For sure have my fingers crossed. :)
