RIGHT AFTER HE TOLD TIM HE WAS SURE HE COULD DO IT.

(He did, didn't he?)

It's such a tiny, tiny thing, but you can't tell me Tony didn't sound proud. You can't tell me there wasn't warmth in those two words, wasn't something a little bit intimate about the way Tony said them.

Tim did good, and Tony acknowledged it without any ribbing or teasing or banter. Trusted in Tim's skills with about the same.

Granted, they were doing something they weren't supposed to be doing, but still. Tony appreciates Tim's skills.

And he'll show that appreciation even more when they go home together at the end of the day.

I wasn't sure I'd enjoy the flashbacks with Vance. Vance usually either really works for me, or doesn't much at all. But I really did enjoy this. Plus! Gibbs! In a tie! Mom had a moment of WTF? last week when Gibbs showed up in a tie. (Last week? Hmm.) "What the hell is he wearing?" It was odd, since lately I've been paying more attention to the differences in how the characters dress.

I sort of want to rewatch season to see McGee's style evolution.

There may have been some squeeing when Tony whispered that into Tim's ear, but I can neither confirm or deny it. *g* Best part of the show in my humble opinion.
