I just realized I have crossover fic where I may have implied good ol' Captain Jack Harkness knew the Trickster. And by knew I mean knows and by knows I mean, well, y'know. ::nudge nudge wink wink:: Biblically.

Which means I have managed to slash Jack Harkness with an archangel.

HA.

There is no excuse for this except that it makes me happy. And, really, isn't that the best reason?

(Unless you're from that Torchwood episode "Countrycide." In which case you definitely should not do the things that make you happy. Bleh.)

This is actually from last January when Due South was shiny with rediscovery. I really like the idea of Fraser and Ducky driving everyone crazy with their combined amount of knowledge.

Right now I am sitting on [livejournal.com profile] sdrohc_ratiug's couch watching SpongeBob Squarepants (well, Lars and the Real Girl now), drinking tea, and mooching off her internet. We've been without since Friday night. Which is a pain when you need to e-mail things to your editor.

THANK GOD for my iPhone. Srsly. And friends with the internet. Though I will be at the library tomorrow.

Anyway, generally mediocre weekend. Friday I was in a really low mood, which made watching Ugly Betty more tear-filled than usual. Sometimes that happens. It'll hit 8 PM and I'll go from fine to...rock-bottom, wanting to cry in frustration because I don't know what's wrong. And then it'll be over by 11. I hate it. Luckily it doesn't happen that often, but it's really tough when it does more than one day in a row.

Speaking of Ugly Betty...I want a crossover with Justin and Kurt from Glee. Like...future!fic where Kurt goes to New York to be famous and fabulous and fashiontastic on Broadway.

Meanwhile, I got a new camera for my birthday. The light outside was really neat.

I have this random desire to see Vala and Jack Sparrow in fic together.
annundriel: (Smile (sga))
So the F.C.C. song from Family Guy last night just *killed* me. It can be found here, along with a link to Eric Idle's F.C.C. song.

I can't stop laughing at "And they'll make you call fellatio a trouser-friendly kiss." I can't decide if it's because of the "trouser-friendly" part or because Stewie's the one that sings it.

Haven't laughed that hard at something for awhile.

Also caught the end of Dirty Dancing last night. Which lead to Natasha sharing a SV fanfic that was like DD. Which lead to me bringing up a parody with Jack and Daniel. Which lead to sticking Rodney in the corner. "Nobody puts Rodney in a corner." I think you can stick John and Rodney in any movie situation and they just work. Dirty Dancing, Atlantis Style )

Um. Yeah. Did I mention I'm a little sleep deprived? I totally blame whacked out AU-crossover-things on that. Except, omg, I can see it! Why is it that Sheppard and McKay fit so well into romantic comedies and movies of the '80s?

Oh! Also got to see the beginning and parts of Boa vs. Python on Sci-fi yesterday. David Hewlett! Oh, the crap I will watch just to see you.

Meeting with my adviser in 15 minutes to discuss winter quarter. I'm thinking...Ethics, Mythology, and maybe Theology/Religion level 3. But we'll see what happens come registration.
annundriel: (Sigh. (sga))
Sheppard. John Sheppard. )

So, there's that. Natasha, I would like you to persuade me out of playing with this idea. Really. I don't need to write tiny scenes on scraps of paper. Or figure out just where the other SGA/SG-1 characters would fit into this. (Teyla's a sexy secret agent from another country. Daniel works on decoding things.)

In other, seriously-I'm-not-crazy news, got my driver's license renewed. Yea. Only have the temporary right now, but I don't look like a complete dork in my picture. In fact, ::gasp:: I look like me. Also bought Lost. YEA. Spent part of the evening looking for easter eggs. Actually found some, too. Go me!

Anyhoo. ::is dull::

Damn. Damn damn damn. Damn.

There's a trailer for Smallville Season five.

::whines:: Natasha. It's gonna try to suck me in, isn't it? How can I save you with the good porn slash when the bad television is trying to suck me in?

Damn.

There's this character meme going around and it gives me something to do when I'm mind-numbingly bored. Through this meme I ended up slashing Daniel Jackson (SG-1) and Wesley Wyndham-Pryce (Ats). And now I *really* want to find some fic with them and read it. Because I could *so* see that working.

Natasha and I even worked it out. )

And, well, maybe it wouldn't work. But I think it would be fun to read. If I was at all confident about writing fanfiction, I'd maybe even attempt it myself. But I'm not, so I won't. At least any time soon.

Tom started school today. Junior year of high school. Scary.

Mom and I watched "Instinct" and then I watched "The Defiant One." Still love in massive amounts. Also watched the first part of Rome with Mom. LOTS of people in it. Every screen its like there's someone new to squee over. Gonna try to catch more of it. Should be interesting.

Neesh comes over tomorrow to finish Firefly. Finally. Hopefully.

Oh, Natasha, I've got another fic rec for you. Short, Firefly. Whenever you want it. :)

I'm gonna go read trashy romance novels now. They're like cotton candy for the brain.

I like how a couple of posts ago the subject ("I'd Walk to You if I Could Trust My Feet") really went nicely with the SG-1 icon and the wormhole and everything. Coincidence!

Today has been a loooong day. I can't believe it's only Monday (::checks watch:: technically Tuesday now).

Spanish is Spanish. Intertextuality is spiffy. Dr. McDowell is fantastic. Catholic Traditions is going to be very dry. Work is exactly the same as it has always been.

Got back from work and watched part two of the SGA season finale again. They're as mean as Farscape with their cliff-hangers. They've had two and they've both been crap! Not "crap" as in "bad," but "crap" as in "that was a really crappy way to end an episode because I am emotionally involved and can't wait three months for more." Yeah, so the good kinda crap, the hurts-so-bad-it's-good kind. Or something.

I hope hope *hope* they don't ever decide to kill off Zelenka. When Shep mentions that they'll be fine if McKay and Zelenka can do blah blah blah, Zelenka gets this look on his face that's actually kind of Willow-esque and it's great and I hope he stays on the show. He'll be in part of next season at least, because the actor has sort of mentioned things in interviews.

Oh great, now I'm thinking about who on SGA would be who on Buffy. ::facepalm:: What's scary is that I've already figured out how Rodney is like Wesley.

May be writing yet another something. Have to think about something while I'm shifting. :)

I kinda feel like Winky in my icon. ::points::

Gah!

omg. I found a Smallville/Angel the Series crossover. Featuring Lilah. In Smallville.

There's only a mention of the Luthors, and a failed prophecy for Lionel, but *still*. I knew I couldn't be the only one to connect Wolfram & Hart with them. Whee!

Also, apparently I cannot post replies to comments without writing a novel. ::rolls eyes::

I'll start posting a warning every time I majorly geek-out over a show and then put the post behind a cut. Because I can. And because these geek things are for me, but I don't necessarily want to lock them. And y'all knew I was weird anyway.

Y'know what pan-fandom relationship I'd kinda like to see? )

I promised Neesha that I would write her a story of her choice for her birthday. There were some things I refused to write, like the PotC/Farscape thing and the Muppets thing, but for the most part I gave her free range in her choice. I figured, okay, I can write a short story and have done with it. :)

And then I did something really stupid.

I shared a large paragraph-type thing with here that I had written in class one day (probably History or something *snore*). It has actually ended up kind of haunting me when I go back through notebooks, because the main character(s) stepped almost fully formed into my mind. And so did the look of the period and the world. This does not happen often for me. Or rather, it does, but it does not hit me so hard as this has seemed to.

At any rate, I'm posting the large paragraph-type thing because I can and because I'd like some input on the formatting (ie. possible paragraphs) as well as any other helpful suggestions and/or ideas. I'd also like to know if it's repetitive at all.

Prologue Rough Draft )

Hmmm. I think I'd like to add more to it, come to that.

....do do do....

So, yeah. Mom and I are going to Seattle tonight. Yea! This means air conditioning and slightly less warm, though more humid, weather. (It's actually not too bad here right now. A breeze has picked up and I can smell mint. I think that's from next door.) We're not leaving until later, so we'll miss all of the crappy traffic. Hopefully, at least. I'm not even packed yet. Bugger.

Yesterday I went to the Moses Lake Rodeo with the family (except Mom) and a friend-person. I've only been to a rodeo once before, also in Moses, and I guess I just forget each year that I actually enjoy sitting there watching the goings-on. It's actually quite entertaining. (As was the demolition derby the one year I went.) I didn't stay for the whole thing though, as the whole reason I actually went was to meet up with Neesha at the Grant County Fair. So we met up and wandered around the outskirts of the fair and ate ice cream and got tattoos. (Mine's in kind of a strange spot, at least for me. I'm going to take a picture so I can remember my, sigh, wild days when I'm old. Hah.) Even though they frelled up the dance. Anyway, we left after I got my tattoo because we had to pin my shirt funny and it just looked...odd. There was a band playing bad 80s music there as well, but they did play "Time Warp" from The Rocky Horror Picture Show so that was great. So we left and found Vandyman's (heh, thanks Neesh) house and drove around and finally went for a midnight breakfast at Sharis. Fun. All in all, it was a spiffy night.

Ah frell. I just remembered the movies/characters that we cross-overed/whatever its called last night. Neesha, did you follow up on any of that?

Apparently all of my Horatio Hornblower stuff has been shipped and is now on its way to Spokane. Woo!
annundriel: (Default)
[livejournal.com profile] ginnith wants me to write one of the silliest "cross-over" type things I have ever thought of, even counting the Smurfs/LotR thing. The terrible thing is I'm really tempted to try it. Argh! But Neesha, what would I get out of it? Besides the praise and adoration? If you're going to be demanding, I want something!

[livejournal.com profile] overjoy - I'll try to e-mail you the story-thing tomorrow. I sat down to write it today and it just wouldn't flow the right way. It came out a bit clunky and not at all what I wanted. So I'll try again and hopefully it will improve. In fact, I'm sure it will. :) Hugs, dahlin'!

In other news, it was really frelling hot today. Really really. And smokey and just all around *gross*. I wish it would rain and clear the air.
