annundriel: (Could Use a Drink (cplng))
It's been a good day. Started off a little weird though. Woke up feeling dizzy and a little nauseated. Not pleasant and a bit confusing. That went away after an hour or so. Thank goodness. And the rest of the day I've done nothing at all productive. Except some laundry. Later, Tom and I might go out and get the Christmas tree. Hard to believe that's next week. Time flies.

Did get my paycheck today. Yea, money!

For now, though, I think I'm gonna grab my book and park it up in the bedroom. Maybe write a little, since Neesha was lovely and encouraging when I talked to her. Little scenes that don't have to be connected to anything seem to be my best course of action.

Speaking of...[livejournal.com profile] ginnith - do you remember in choir when we had to do the Christmas cantatas and we made up lyrics for the one song? And turned it into something about robbing convenience stores? Do you remember what song that was? And our lyrics? 'Cause I can't and it's driving me nuts.

Meanwhile, quiz.

Who's Your 'Background' SGA Guy? )

I'm just going to ramble for awhile. Don't mind me. :)

SGA Spoilers )

Gonna stop now because if I don't, I never will.

Still hate the credits. Stupid people.

Went to Tri-Cities with Mom by a sort of meandering route to figure out how we'll be delivering wedding flowers. It was pretty easy. Bought new clothes, a book about SG-1, Lullaby by Chuck Palahniuk, a shiny new planner, and HBP.

Though I'm not reading the book yet (Mom's got it and I'm busy with Diary), if I see Half Blood Prince spoilers not under an lj-cut on my f'list, I swear I will hunt you down and kill you dead. ;) Keep me from committing murder - practice safe LJ-ing.

It's been a good day.

Oh! Since we had to find the place for the reception, we took the Othello route to Tri-Cities and in between Othello (a rather dull town) and Mesa (a town so small you can stand in the middle and see its end in every direction) there was a sign pointing out the road to Basin City. I squealed and had a minor cow. Because I am a geek. Had to explain it to Mom, though. Go Frank Miller.

Also, there's another, longer version of the UK promo for Lost floating around. LOVE.

I like how a couple of posts ago the subject ("I'd Walk to You if I Could Trust My Feet") really went nicely with the SG-1 icon and the wormhole and everything. Coincidence!

Today has been a loooong day. I can't believe it's only Monday (::checks watch:: technically Tuesday now).

Spanish is Spanish. Intertextuality is spiffy. Dr. McDowell is fantastic. Catholic Traditions is going to be very dry. Work is exactly the same as it has always been.

Got back from work and watched part two of the SGA season finale again. They're as mean as Farscape with their cliff-hangers. They've had two and they've both been crap! Not "crap" as in "bad," but "crap" as in "that was a really crappy way to end an episode because I am emotionally involved and can't wait three months for more." Yeah, so the good kinda crap, the hurts-so-bad-it's-good kind. Or something.

I hope hope *hope* they don't ever decide to kill off Zelenka. When Shep mentions that they'll be fine if McKay and Zelenka can do blah blah blah, Zelenka gets this look on his face that's actually kind of Willow-esque and it's great and I hope he stays on the show. He'll be in part of next season at least, because the actor has sort of mentioned things in interviews.

Oh great, now I'm thinking about who on SGA would be who on Buffy. ::facepalm:: What's scary is that I've already figured out how Rodney is like Wesley.

May be writing yet another something. Have to think about something while I'm shifting. :)

I kinda feel like Winky in my icon. ::points::

Fan heavy SG-1/SGA post. You've been warned. Although Neesha may want to come drool over Ben with me.

Watching SG makes me happy. )

Anyway. It's hard for me to really put into words just how much I'm loving these people. But I am and I do and I can't wait for July to get here.

Don't really have anything to say about the SG-1 season finale, other than squeeage over how frelling cute geek!Sam was. And Jack having the hots for her. And thinking Daniel was gay. That was great. PLUS the preview for season nine(?) with Ben Browder in *uniform* and leaning on the stargate and looking just very good altogether.

Meanwhile, another SGA meme. )
annundriel: (To the Geek Cave! (sga))
Apparently some people don't mind when I go off on some rambley tangents on my LJ because it always sounds most like me. So here's some rambley tangents...

SGA meme spam. Geeks rule! )

I heart SGA (and SG-1) so much. So glad it doesn't suck like Jeff. )

Well, that was long and not entirely what I had in mind when I decided to post and it totally doesn't make a lot of sense, but hey! whatever. ::shrug::

It may be lame, but my spring break is just right for me.

I got to see Neesha twice before she had to leave! Yea. We watched SG-1 and SV and were fangirly, talked about life and friends and writing, pondered why no one I know thinks Sheppard's attractive, ate enchiladas, and decided what we would *not* name our respective children.

Obviously we were v. v. deep.

*

Friday I got to watch both SGs while Neesh was around. )

Yesterday Mom and I went to Wenatchee and I bought the extension for The Sims 2. I didn't even know there *was* an extension until I spotted it in Target. Needless to say, I've been playing that almost non-stop today. Fun times.

Tomorrow Dad and I go to Spokane to pick up Grandma and then Wednesday (You were right, Neesh!) I get my haircut. Woo.

Time, Yea!

So, finals week. The week of finals. I have a ten page paper due Wednesday (thank goodness that the presentation has been nixed), a Spanish final Thursday, and another paper plus self-evaluation due Friday. Woo. And then break! Woo! I'm seriously excited. Especially because there are no more actual classes this week AND tonight is my last night of work for the quarter. Having time to do stuff, even if that stuff is writing papers, is a good good thing.

Just talked to Dad. Apparently he's coming over Friday morning with Neesha's mom, dropping her in Issaquah, and then picking me up. Which means I'll be home Friday afternoon/evening sometime! Yea!

Q: How much to I love all of the geeks on SGA?

A: So much it's ridiculous.

Seriously. All of 'em. Except for Kavanaugh, he's just an ass. With a stupid pony-tail. And I hate that I'm really starting to love them and I know one of them, specifically, is going to die next week. That's not just, like, geek-intuition either. I've been spoiled. For some reason, the US doesn't get SG episodes until, like, everyone else has seen them. What's with that?

Anyway. Geek-love. Especially for Zelenka. He's really grown on me. In "Letters from Pegasus," he records his message home entirely in Czech, describing the rising of Atlantis from the bottom of the sea. It's beautiful and enthusiastic. But the best part is Ford at the end of the message, off-camera going, "You didn't say anything that would require security clearance, did you?" And Zelenka's all ::frown:: "Security clearance?"

The SGC wouldn't be happy with him. I bet they never figure it out.

Y'know, I think it would be really funny if McKay was "seeing" Dr. Heightmeyer in the capacity he implied to Teyla when she caught him coming out of her office. Too bad he was obviously trying to cover the fact he was there to see her because she's Atlantis's shrink. He needs someone to talk to. Talk about stress. A bajillion life-sucking aliens are heading toward you and you're the last defense between them and Earth. You've got no clue what to do and you're running on three hours of sleep in the past week. Good luck with that.

Yeah, next time I'm stressed out I'll just remind myself I'm not battling freaky life-sucking aliens.

Watching SGA really makes me want to watch Star Trek Voyager. ::shrug:: ::geek::
