Time, Yea!
Mar. 14th, 2005 04:17 pmSo, finals week. The week of finals. I have a ten page paper due Wednesday (thank goodness that the presentation has been nixed), a Spanish final Thursday, and another paper plus self-evaluation due Friday. Woo. And then break! Woo! I'm seriously excited. Especially because there are no more actual classes this week AND tonight is my last night of work for the quarter. Having time to do stuff, even if that stuff is writing papers, is a good good thing.
Just talked to Dad. Apparently he's coming over Friday morning with Neesha's mom, dropping her in Issaquah, and then picking me up. Which means I'll be home Friday afternoon/evening sometime! Yea!

Q: How much to I love all of the geeks on SGA?
A: So much it's ridiculous.
Seriously. All of 'em. Except for Kavanaugh, he's just an ass. With a stupid pony-tail. And I hate that I'm really starting to love them and I know one of them, specifically, is going to die next week. That's not just, like, geek-intuition either. I've been spoiled. For some reason, the US doesn't get SG episodes until, like, everyone else has seen them. What's with that?
Anyway. Geek-love. Especially for Zelenka. He's really grown on me. In "Letters from Pegasus," he records his message home entirely in Czech, describing the rising of Atlantis from the bottom of the sea. It's beautiful and enthusiastic. But the best part is Ford at the end of the message, off-camera going, "You didn't say anything that would require security clearance, did you?" And Zelenka's all ::frown:: "Security clearance?"
The SGC wouldn't be happy with him. I bet they never figure it out.
Y'know, I think it would be really funny if McKay was "seeing" Dr. Heightmeyer in the capacity he implied to Teyla when she caught him coming out of her office. Too bad he was obviously trying to cover the fact he was there to see her because she's Atlantis's shrink. He needs someone to talk to. Talk about stress. A bajillion life-sucking aliens are heading toward you and you're the last defense between them and Earth. You've got no clue what to do and you're running on three hours of sleep in the past week. Good luck with that.
Yeah, next time I'm stressed out I'll just remind myself I'm not battling freaky life-sucking aliens.
Watching SGA really makes me want to watch Star Trek Voyager. ::shrug:: ::geek::

Date: 2005-03-15 02:38 am (UTC)Are you *sure* you really want to know who's going to die? I'll wait until you answer that to actually tell you. Until then, I'll just say it's not McKay, Zelenka, Kavanaugh (though that I wouldn't mind) or Beckett (who isn't an actual blue-shirt, but he's still a geek <3). But it is one of the lovely blue-shirts, ie. scientists. :( I guess I can add to that...He's kind of got a British accent and hangs out with Weir a lot.
See, no actual names.
Of course I'm up to it! I do have to go to Spokane with Dad to get Grandma at some point that might be Sunday, but other than that...Let me know what you're thinking plan wise.

Oh, and any day works for me...so long as we get together at some point I don't care if it's 1:30 AM Sunday morning.
*mua* Have an amazing Tuesday!!

Date: 2005-03-15 11:41 pm (UTC)Oh well, at least Zelenka makes it. And McKay. And Beckett. As far as I know...::worries::
Grandma's in San Diego. We'll be picking her up at the airport in Spokane. Don't worry, everything's fine. :)
Well, um, when are you going back to school? We kinda need to work around that. :)
You too!! <3
