Surprise Jensen Is Surprising
Nov. 4th, 2009 09:20 pmOnly not really a surprise as I was watching the CW.
Just watched Top Model. Was sitting there as it ended thinking, great, they're going to do one of their promos and it's going to be all, "I'm Penn Badgley. Watch Gossip Girl blah di blah," and why can't it ever be Jensen?
And then it's all, "I'm Jensen Ackles. Watch Supernatural blah di blah."
Now maybe if I focus a little harder, I can make other things happen...
::is a dork::

I had a caffeinated beverage at dinner. Bad idea. Good thing I don't have to be up early.
Tomorrow (or today, depending on how you want to look at it)
olivelavonne is coming over. She's staying until next Friday. I am super excited. Usually we just get a weekend to hang out, but this is a whole week. YEA.
I was thinking we could do something different this weekend, like go to the Tri-Cities or Spokane. But my aunt and uncle are also going to be here (just found this out this week) and I can't actually think of any reason to drive that far. Other than, hey, change of scene is fun!
With that in mind, we are planning on driving to Grand Coulee with
sdrohc_ratiug. It's going to be fun.
And then for Halloween Dahlia and I are going to carve pumpkins and marathon SPN. Because I am not big into scary movies and would rather watch those guys anyway. And Dahlia needs to watch everything prior to season five basically.
Supernatural flailing over pho is becoming a weekly thing.
Damn it. Now I want pho.

Anxiety & Skeeball
Sep. 19th, 2009 05:09 pmI am still having massive writing anxiety, but I think (think) I'm on my way to getting over that with this specific fic I'm working on. I keep making changes, poking and prodding it into something better or more or closer to what's happened in canon lately (hopefully all of these things and nothing negative). I'm just waiting to talk to a couple of people about it now. Then maybe I can exorcise the whole thing and be done.
It's a really good thing I don't bite my fingernails anymore. Braces! They were good for something beside giving me headaches!
( Not a particularly serious thought and certain SPN season five developments. Spoiler for what's happened so far, though. )

Yesterday was a lot of fun. After taking care of articles, I went over to
sdrohc_ratiug's. She made a delicious lasagna and salad for dinner. We took a couple of walks and watched more Weeds, an episode of SPN ("Tall Tales"), and almost all of the Castiel or Dean/Castiel scenes from season four. Which was, oh, such a hardship. ;)
It was great. Converting peopleto the dark side is fun.
Oh, and we played against each other on DS. Next time I'm taking Zelda. No goat milking mini-games there.
Now back to poking at fic. ::poke, poke::

Hard to Focus
Sep. 11th, 2009 01:27 pmStills from SPN 5.03.
I. Uh. I am really looking forward to that.
I think I might have a serious fan-type problem here. I'm not sure SGA promo pictures ever got me so excited.
( Project Runway - 6.04 )
Meanwhile, I was also up last night finishing Professor Layton and the Diabolic Box. ( Cut for emotional reaction spoilers. Well, and actual plot spoilers, too. )

Happy Making
Sep. 9th, 2009 02:46 pmOf the Good:
- My SPN season four DVDs came yesterday. And season five starts tomorrow! First time watching the show with the rest of the fans. Exciting.
- Glee! TONIGHT!
- Merlin series two preview!
- BOX OF PUPPIES!

::FLAIL::
There are two that are practically identical. I call them the Bookends. There's also Dracula and Cracker/Crackerhead (there is a black spot on the top of her head that's shaped like a Goldfish cracker, or a keyhole). And Chuck. As in Ground Chuck. Because he looks like a Holstein.
♥♥♥
Of the Less Good:
- Port meeting was 3.5 hours last night. Bleh.
- I'm hoping tonight's Fire District meeting doesn't take two hours. I want to be home for Glee!
- A good amount of SPN-related writing has happened in the last few days. But I'm pretty worried it's mostly pathetic. I'm thinking about trying the same basic thing from a different POV, Dean's. But I'm waiting to hear back on what's written so far.

Thursdays Are My Favorite
Sep. 4th, 2009 01:02 pmI love watching TV with my mom.
Last night the CW finished their repeats of SPN season 4 by showing the final two episodes. We're watching the finale and this happens:
DEAN: You can take your peace and shove it up your lily-white ass.
MOM: How does he know what color Castiel's ass is?
ME: ......I was just thinking that, too.
It's good times.
Oh, God, and then she went and inserted Dean and Castiel into the promos for The Vampire Diaries. "They'd fit in that plot, don't you think?" she said.
"Which one's which?"
"Well, Dean's the girl. Obviously. And Castiel's the vampire."
"Because he's otherworldly."
"Exactly."
Those commercials have suddenly become really hilarious.

Promolicious
Aug. 22nd, 2009 01:49 pmFirst, Merlin series two promo shots! Gwen is gorgeous.
Second, Supernatural season five promo!
I am a flaily fangirl today.

And then Dahlia stayed for the first SPN ep of the night, "It's a Terrible Life." I was highly amused.
I was also amused by a lot of "The Monster at the End of This Book." I'm looking forward to the DVDs.
Anyway, ( Project Runway )
Also, did anyone else see Tim on The Daily Show? I love the man, I really do.
In Which I Really Want a Nap
Jul. 30th, 2009 02:22 pm- Went in and met with the school district's business manager to ask some questions about the proposed budget. Didn't take too long. He's pretty helpful and was wearing a nice shirt-tie combination.
- Woke up too early. Really want a nap.
- Can't take a nap. Writing feature on peaches. I am looking forward to peach season. Mmmm.
- Meeting
sdrohc_ratiug for dinner, and drinks possibly (margarita? pina colada?), tonight. Yea! Fun hanging-out times.
- More SPN season four to catch up on tonight.
- Weather reports say it's only about 93 degrees right now. Ha. With an expected high of 97. Crazy. And by crazy I mean that's cooler comparatively speaking. At least it's a dry heat.

Dear Russell T. Davies
Jul. 25th, 2009 11:39 amYou, sir, are kind of an ass.
Do not click on that link if you don't want to be spoiled for Children of Earth.

Things, Mid-Week
Jun. 10th, 2009 09:00 pm- The last few pages of my notebook are full of Dean/Castiel. I...don't know what happened. Well, okay, I do. I just wasn't expecting to actually try writing the characters or the pairing.
- Finished season three of Supernatural. Now what am I suppsed to watch every night?
- I am kind of a sucker for Lady Gaga's "Poker Face." Don't judge. I have a very eclectic taste in music.
- "You're dancing less like a boy and more like a man."
- The porn battle has helped me get a little bit out of my writing rut and ultimate feelings of fic-fail. (Alliteration!) This is a good thing. I think I needed to...change things up? Write things without thinking so hard? ::shrug::
- I want to watch Glee.
- There were gunshots just outside earlier. It was...loud.

Happy Making
Jun. 7th, 2009 12:59 pmBecause last week I was moody like whoa, I thought I'd focus on some things that make me happy:
- Dean/Castiel. I've fallen fast and I've fallen hard. omg. I could write about what I love about the pairing, and the characters as individuals, and why I love it. Maybe someday I will. But right now, suffice it to say that I'm obsessing a little.
(Is that a contradiction? "Obsessing a little"?)
- Supernatural.
- Porn Battle!
I am working on something right now. ::crosses fingers::
- Star Trek. Just in general. Yea for rediscovering love!

New Pairing Obsession
May. 30th, 2009 04:28 pmGiven the state of my browser history with regards to fic and YouTube (at least, those things which are not Star Trek related), I think it is safe to say that I am firmly behind Dean/Castiel.
I know I'm not technically to season four yet, but I'm watching in reruns and I am an expert at spoiling myself.
And I am digging it. Like, a lot.
Also, watched "Tall Tales" last night (among other episodes). Had to pause after Sam's prissy face/voice because I was laughing so hard. Tears were involved. I have massive flaily love for these guys.

Friday Stuff
May. 29th, 2009 01:06 pmGot a call a little before 5:20 this morning asking if I could sub today. Ended up with a half-day with fourth graders.
I heard, "You're really tall" a lot. Yup, kids, I am. You're not the only ones to notice, either.
I also got several comments/questions about my Tiffany bean necklace.
Meanwhile, I was really happy with my hair today.
( Picture! Because who doesn't want to see a Myspace-style self-portrait? )
I've got a haircut scheduled June 6 and other than shorten the back (because omg it's driving me crazy and I will never survive the heat), I'm not sure what I want to do. Keep the bangs? Grow them out? Get them trimmed? ::shrug:: I also want to dye my hair again, but I don't know if I want to go red or darker brown. Opinions?
Coconut italian sodas are the best summer drinks ever. Yum.
Mom and I are watching season four of Supernatural out of order. I may be on my way to developing an unhealthy interest in Castiel.
