....do do do....

So, yeah. Mom and I are going to Seattle tonight. Yea! This means air conditioning and slightly less warm, though more humid, weather. (It's actually not too bad here right now. A breeze has picked up and I can smell mint. I think that's from next door.) We're not leaving until later, so we'll miss all of the crappy traffic. Hopefully, at least. I'm not even packed yet. Bugger.

Yesterday I went to the Moses Lake Rodeo with the family (except Mom) and a friend-person. I've only been to a rodeo once before, also in Moses, and I guess I just forget each year that I actually enjoy sitting there watching the goings-on. It's actually quite entertaining. (As was the demolition derby the one year I went.) I didn't stay for the whole thing though, as the whole reason I actually went was to meet up with Neesha at the Grant County Fair. So we met up and wandered around the outskirts of the fair and ate ice cream and got tattoos. (Mine's in kind of a strange spot, at least for me. I'm going to take a picture so I can remember my, sigh, wild days when I'm old. Hah.) Even though they frelled up the dance. Anyway, we left after I got my tattoo because we had to pin my shirt funny and it just looked...odd. There was a band playing bad 80s music there as well, but they did play "Time Warp" from The Rocky Horror Picture Show so that was great. So we left and found Vandyman's (heh, thanks Neesh) house and drove around and finally went for a midnight breakfast at Sharis. Fun. All in all, it was a spiffy night.

Ah frell. I just remembered the movies/characters that we cross-overed/whatever its called last night. Neesha, did you follow up on any of that?

Apparently all of my Horatio Hornblower stuff has been shipped and is now on its way to Spokane. Woo!

See, now I would *never* actually write on myself. I just can't bring myself to do it. I completely know what you mean about marking up the body, but the whole thing with tattoos for me, be they henna or fake, is that it allows me to experiment with a different form of accessorizing without actually effecting my body. In some ways it's even almost a dress-up thing for me, like Halloween.

And I'll probably never get a real one. Too permanent.

I'm still having a little bit of trouble with the story, but I have actually started it!
