Pre-answer answers: Busted, the first one, was actually a fic for a COMPLETELY different fandom. Before the Night Is Through used to have a much longer beginning. They kept wanting to talk, but it just messed with the momentum, so I cut it. Also, all of the titles had to start with B. After the second one, it's just how it had to be. I didn't intend Bath and Body to be the last one, but it the ending felt right. Re-reading some of these because of your comment, I'd like to go back and maybe do a couple of little inserts based on wee details (like Dean wondering if Cas is ticklish).

1. Dean gets off on the fact that Cas thought about them together before anything actually happened. On the fact that he thought about them together between the first encounter and the second. He makes Cas tell him about it, likes hearing words like cock and fuck coming from Cas' lips in that voice.

2. They enjoy each other. Sometimes the sex is serious and sometimes it's not, but it's good either way. Cas surprises Dean with how playful he can be. Dean surprises himself with how much he wants to keep this thing with Cas unsullied. He's never felt like this with anyone before. He can't imagine feeling this way about anyone again.

Which works out, because Cas isn't going anywhere.

3. They do everything. Or, well. Almost everything. Cas is curious and he makes Dean comfortable in ways Dean's never felt comfortable before. Cas doesn't judge him. He just wants and when he looks at Dean with those huge eyes, Dean wants, too. Can't deny him. The things they've done in the series? Just the beginning.

Um, um um... *deep breath* I pick your D/C college AU 'verse.

1. It surprises the hell out of Dean, but this thing with Cas? Turned out to be it. He'd liked him from the beginning--not liked liked, but the regular kind--which he'd kept on the downlow because Cas was, well, kind of a huge nerd. The kind of guy Sam would be friends with. Occasionally, though, there'd be hints of something else. And Dean had always liked how smart his brother was, even if he teased the crap out of him. (What are big brothers for?)

So he'd liked Cas from the beginning. Liked getting a rise out of him, the way he'd sigh and his blue eyes would flash. But he always thought it was just...just fun, y'know? Nothing that went into the pig-tail-pulling side of flirting. And then he'd told Cas to blow him and everything slipped sideways and changed.

2. Cas isn't particularly close to his family for various reasons. He spends breaks staying on campus--except for Christmas--and doesn't talk about them much. Dean hadn't noticed until after they become something other than roommates and when he finds out Cas plans on staying at school, he invites him home with him. His palms sweat and his heart thuds when he asks (and he doesn't know why he's so nervous), but he gets the question out. Cas blinks at him with those blue, blue eyes--they're a little unreal--and his mouth quirks and he says, "Yes." Dean feels triumphant and terrified, but once Cas is at the Winchesters', he settles down. Cas and Sam get along like a house on fire. John watches Dean and Cas with a contemplative look, but welcomes Cas into their home with a hearty pat on the back and a smile.

3. Dean wishes he had Cas' faith, but he lost his mom when he was young--he worries so much about forgetting the things that made her Mom--and it's hard to believe in the God Cas does because of it. He isn't angry anymore, but he misses the way she'd hug him and the way she'd make grilled cheese sandwiches and the way her hair would brush his cheek when she'd tuck him in. Sometimes when he comes back from class and finds Cas kneeling by his bed, hands folded and eyes closed, he simply sits next to him, quiet as Cas prays. When they talk after, it never feels invasive. Dean wants to share these things with Cas, wants to tell him things he's never told anyone.

It scares him sometimes--scares and surprises him--and he has, on one or two occasions, thought that maybe this is too much, too fast, but then Cas enters the room and their eyes meet and Dean's sure that no matter what else this is, it's right.

Showtime:

1. Misha doesn't approach Jensen about the change in Dean and Castiel's relationship because he's unsure how Jensen feels about it. He doesn't want to crowd him. Truth is, he's unsure about himself as well. He's attracted to Jensen, has been since the first day, because, seriously? Have you seen him? Though it isn't just his looks, it's his talent and his humor and his decency. His ability, even, to make Misha crack with the slightest lift of an eyebrow. He amuses Misha, and Misha likes that. He likes that a lot, the whole package.

But they are coworkers and they are professional--for all of the teasing and pranks--and he doesn't want things to slip into awkward. So he doesn't say anything about this changing relationship they're crafting. It comes naturally anyway.

2. Jared doesn't tease them about their...improvisation...as much as either of them expect. He does, sure, because that's just Jared, but it's not as pervasive. Mostly it's just teasing about just where Misha gripped him tight and bottles of lube left around set, their trailers. Misha just grins and pockets them.

3. They don't ever film themselves having sex, but sometimes when Misha is away--seeing family when Jensen has to film or at a convention or doing charity work--Jensen will watch the clip of them on set. He'll watch it and then he'll play it again, eyes closed, focusing on the sound of Misha's voice as he touches himself. He calls Misha afterward, usually. Admits to what he's done. He likes the way Misha's voice drops low and thick.

Stress Relief:

1. Dean gets off like whoa to the idea that he's banging one of Heaven's elite. That she could easily manhandle him and take whatever she wants. She could always do that, except when she was falling. It had actually been a surprise, how much he liked that she was so powerful. And then it had been a surprise how much he missed it when it was gone.

2. The first time they kissed was in the green room, before Castiel zapped them to Chuck's. It was desperate and hard and Castiel was the one who initiated it.

3. When Sam walked in on them making out, Dean pressed against a wall, Castiel pressed against Dean, he'd rolled his eyes and said, "Really?" before turning around and leaving. Dean had seen the grin on his face, though. And he was pretty sure he'd heard, "About time."

1. I'm still not entirely sure if these things really happened or if they were drug fueled dreams. That works, though, because Castiel isn't either. I like thinking that somehow it is real--and so does Castiel. He sleeps more, once these instances start. Wants more of this Dean and this world that's closed off to him. These things he can't really, really have but wants anyway. He's given so much, he deserves a little bit in return.

2. He and Dean--the Dean of 2014--used to have something. But Dean has issues and when Castiel finally fell, he fell hard and fast and I think it was probably--on top of everything else--a lot for Dean to deal with. He and Cas were never really serious anyway, I'm sure he'd tell himself.

But Castiel has always cared for Dean in ways that are unique and new and different. He drowns himself in drugs and sex to hide from disappointment.

3. Dean Smith isn't sure what it is about this guy that attracts him. He's not Dean's usual type at all, not with the shaggy hair and the stubble and the lingering smell of incense, the worn, lived-in clothes. He isn't sure what draws his eye or why he takes him home or how any of this makes sense. All he knows is that he feels...something...when he looks at Cas, something that feels important. Vital. It's the strangest thing, but it overrides everything in Dean that might tell him not to.

1. Castiel leaves at the end because he remembered why he was supposed to be there in the first place: to send Deanna back in time and show her that some things cannot be stopped, like Mary making that deal with the YED. He'd been distracted by Deanna in bed, though. (Can you blame him?) He returns after she's cleaned up--she's surprised and pleased to see him--and zaps her to the past.

2. The events of "The Rapture" gut Deanna in ways she isn't expecting. (I'm still undecided about vessel issues here, personally.) When Cas isn't around, she worries hard. When he returns and tells her that he doesn't serve her, it feels like...well. It feels like something important has been ripped out of her. It makes her uncomfortable.

3. When Castiel tells Chuck that they're making it up as they go, Deanna loves him. In that moment, lights blinding around them, floor shaking beneath their feet, she loves him. She doesn't have time to dwell on this revelation, but all she can think when Cas reaches for her forehead to send her to Sam is, Please, dear god, let him survive.

You know when he appears again--after the exploding--it's all she can do not to throw herself at him in front of Sam. Feel that familiar face beneath her palms and those lips beneath her lips. Because she'd thought, she'd really thought, that this was it. That he was gone. And here it's like she's been given a favor, a miracle. She should question it, but fuck. She doesn't care. Castiel isn't a mess in Chuck's house, he's here and whole and hers. (Hopefully.) Everything else they'll sort out later.

I'm already, oh, 1000 words into a sequel! There will probably be more than two.

1. Dean isn't religious. He's there because of Sam and Sam's there because of Jess. First time he sees Father Castiel, he can't look away. There's something about the man that draws his eyes, something about his hair and eyes and mouth and bearing. Dean gets off to thoughts about him for weeks before he decides to do anything about it.

That probably starts on a whim.

2. Outside of what happens in the confessional, they don't fuck in the churh. Castiel doesn't want to sully that with this. Doesn't want to sully Dean with the increasingly confused feelings he's having. When he looks at Dean, he doesn't want to feel guilt. So there's a line they don't cross. Dean respect that.

3. Castiel is eventually going to have to make a decision. To stay with the church and cut ties with Dean, or to fall, wholly and completely. Given behavior in other 'verse, I think we know what he will choose. ;)

There's Not A Step We Can Take. C'mon. Gimme your BRAIN.

omg. This fic. Here are three random things. I'd happily talk more.

1. Nothing else in the episode this is a tag for changes. They still trap Raphael. Dean is intensely turned on by Castiel calling Raphael his little bitch--it's the beginning of a Cas-specific kink; he likes when Cas uses the words and phrases he's picked up from too much time with Dean. They leave Rafael there in the house and go back to the Impala. Dean tells Cas he should go for God if Cas believes he's out there. It still ends with Cas disappearing. One night isn't going to change their entire interaction, even if it changes everything else. They aren't the same anymore; they've moved into something new.

"The End" comes up. Dean really needs rest because Cas wore him out. It's thrilling, being in something like this with someone he feels so much for. With someone who knows him so well. It's thrilling and scary and Dean needs a break that night to sleep and because, yeah, he needs to sort through some of his thoughts. But then Zachariah zaps him to the future and what he sees terrifies him. He becomes determined not to let that happen to Cas.

Basically, I see the season happening in much the same way it did, but with some key things changed because of this moment Dean and Cas had together so the ultimate end is completely different.

2. This fic just...appeared. It was there as soon as the episode was over. Even the title was there before the fic was finished. The only thing that gave me trouble was the beginning, and that was only because the distance between point A and point B was shorter than I wanted. But even that only took some minor fixing.

3. Taking Cas' virginity had crossed Dean's mind briefly, but he hadn't let himself think about it because Cas had never seemed...interested in him like that before. Which is stupid of him to think, really, since Cas isn't human and he isn't like the other dick angels Dean's met. When Cas implies that he wants Dean and not someone like Chastity--with tits and long hair and a vagina--it's hard for Dean to wrap his mind around. When Cas admits he's sure about what, about who he wants, Dean's heart races with relief and anticipation.

He's pretty sure he doesn't come off nervous, but he's nervous as hell. He wants this to be good for Cas, especially since it's his first time. Especially since he might die the next morning and, god, Dean really doesn't want to think about that.

Cas' kisses are unexpectedly sweet and hot and Dean knows that this one time is never going to be enough.

1. It becomes a habit, a regular occurrence. Jensen goes over with Jared, ends up outside with Tom. Eventually it moves other places, becomes something other than just getting high and jerking each other off. Rubbing against each other until their coming, the sweet smell of smoke between them.

2. This thing between them isn't serious, but it's good. It's really good. For both of them. They push each others buttons, loosen each other up. Tom challenges Jensen in ways his other friends don't.

3. I think this 'verse eventually becomes Jensen/Misha. In the future, after they've graduated, Jensen will meet Misha in line getting coffee or at the grocery store or on a street corner and they'll hit it off. Maybe they'll meet at a party and Misha will assume that Jensen has no clue what he's doing, will offer to shotgun some pot with him. And Jensen will do it and surprise him.

However it works out, Tom paved the way for Misha. One day they'll run into Tom somewhere and Tom will look between the two of them and see everything there is to see, smirk with that mouth of his. It'll still make Jensen's blood heat, but it won't be the same way Misha does.

1. Castiel has been fighting the urge to touch himself for a while now. The farther he falls, the more he feels and the more he feels, the more he wants things that he doesn't know how to deal with. He resists and resists until he can't anymore.

It's frightening. Both the wanting and the giving in. He's relieved beyond belief when Dean arrives and helps him.

2. This is just the beginning. Having given in once, Castiel wants to experience more. Wants to feel more. Luckily, he's got Dean by his side to show him all of the new ways he can feel good. If this were a series, it would start with handjobs and work up to Castiel experiencing all sorts of filthy things with Dean leading the way. ;)

3. Dean hadn't thought of doing anything sexual with Cas before this. Hadn't even really thought of him as sexual. But seeing Cas like that was like a punch to the gut, cold water dumped over his head. It had opened his eyes. When he looks back, he realizes maybe he had occasionally imagined blue eyes while jerking off or a mouth with full lips. He just hadn't put the pieces together.

Better Than:

1. I thought this fic was bad and was never going to post it.

2. Originally, I was really wary of letting Dean stay asleep so long. (Part of the reason I wasn't very confident in it when it was originally finished.) But it's very established relationship and Dean has told Castiel to do whatever he wants with him. There's something powerful about all of that trust between them.

3. Dean wants Cas to take whatever he wants. It's an admission, without so many words, that Castiel is in this as deep as he is. This was the first time Castiel really did that, really took the initiative. The results were excellent, so he'll continue to do it to both of their satisfaction.

Number 2: I love that you how long you let him stay asleep. It was perfect timing with allowing Cas to explore and get going but making Dean wake up before it was all over. Also, i think I told you this, Dean going “Doesn’t mean I don’t like it.” and then "Keep. Going." is FLAW FREE.
