Ugly Betty

annundrielSo first it makes me teary because of Hilda and then I get all teary in a different, better way over Marc and Betty. :(
- I thought they shaved Daniel's beard last week? I distinctly remember them leading up to that. What gives?
- "He runs so funny." Daniel's amusement! Heeeee.
- I thought Betty looked really good tonight.
- "He has looked pretty tired lately." Daniel noticing Marc being run-down. Awwww.
- Daniel's squeaky voice when he thought, "She totally wants to jump my bones."
So if I were writing this show, you know what would have happened? (Warning: This went warm and schmoopy on me.) Daniel and Marc would have gotten caught in that elevator. And Marc's down-on-his-luck self-esteem issues would maybe have emerged and, of course, Daniel would obviously have to address them. Sitting there in the semi-dark of the elevator, shoulders brushing, legs stretched out in front of them.
Marc would lean his head back against the wall and Daniel would reach out, without thinking, to pat his thigh. He'd turn and look at Marc and reassure him and Marc would do that tentatively hopeful thing he does that's just...really sweet. "Really?" he'd say and Daniel would squeeze his leg, give it a shake. "Really."
The tension in the air would change and suddenly it wouldn't just be Daniel reassuring Marc, it would be Daniel with his hand on Marc's thigh, their faces too close.
And then who knows who leans in first? It only matters that they're kissing. Daniel's free hand ends up in Marc's hair - which Marc would bitch about being ruined once the power came back on - Marc's hands end up on Daniel and they're kissing on the floor of one of the Meade elevators during a city-wide blackout that neither of them care about anymore.
So. That's what would have happened if I were writing this show. That or something similar. I seem to have suddenly developed a thing for Daniel's fingers in Marc's hair. Probably because I like Marc's hair. ::shrug::

I have Southland's theme music stuck in my head.
