I think I'm just going to pretend yesterday did not happen. I'm as good as I ever am if stuck a little too deeply in my own head. Given that it's not Thanksgiving yet, I think I can take my moods to mean winter is going to be Not Fun.

But. I did get my hair cut yesterday and I really like it. It's nothing very different from what I've had before, but it's shorter than it was and cleaned up around the edges. More A-line bob-like. We'll dye it soon.

Did you know there are only six weeks left in the year? Crazy!

Meanwhile, there is a port meeting today. I have been working for the newspaper for basically a year now. I have been involved with three scandals because of it. Are there other scandals in the paper I don't instigate? I do not know.

Oh! Wait! Four scandals! Gang sign, burn days, restaurant sign, GOLF ASSOCIATION. Almost forgot that one. And that's the one that caused tears. (On my part. No idea if I make other people cry. Oh. Wait. I did make that one woman cry for a feature...Not on purpose! The death of a loved one was involved! Tears happen!) Though the gang sign one is still having fall-out (apparently) and that was last winter.

By "scandals" I mostly mean the stuff that makes people go "OMG SRSLY??" So, y'know, dirt. Mostly. Except that the dirt is just what people say in public meetings on public record. Because people are D-U-M-B, DUMB.

I do not like writing dirt. Whenever Mom hears this, she points out that it's just this kind of dirt I don't like writing. ::nudge nudge wink wink:: So then I go write some of the dirt I enjoy writing and that kind of makes me feel better.
