I think I'm just going to pretend yesterday did not happen. I'm as good as I ever am if stuck a little too deeply in my own head. Given that it's not Thanksgiving yet, I think I can take my moods to mean winter is going to be Not Fun.

But. I did get my hair cut yesterday and I really like it. It's nothing very different from what I've had before, but it's shorter than it was and cleaned up around the edges. More A-line bob-like. We'll dye it soon.

Did you know there are only six weeks left in the year? Crazy!

Meanwhile, there is a port meeting today. I have been working for the newspaper for basically a year now. I have been involved with three scandals because of it. Are there other scandals in the paper I don't instigate? I do not know.

Oh! Wait! Four scandals! Gang sign, burn days, restaurant sign, GOLF ASSOCIATION. Almost forgot that one. And that's the one that caused tears. (On my part. No idea if I make other people cry. Oh. Wait. I did make that one woman cry for a feature...Not on purpose! The death of a loved one was involved! Tears happen!) Though the gang sign one is still having fall-out (apparently) and that was last winter.

By "scandals" I mostly mean the stuff that makes people go "OMG SRSLY??" So, y'know, dirt. Mostly. Except that the dirt is just what people say in public meetings on public record. Because people are D-U-M-B, DUMB.

I do not like writing dirt. Whenever Mom hears this, she points out that it's just this kind of dirt I don't like writing. ::nudge nudge wink wink:: So then I go write some of the dirt I enjoy writing and that kind of makes me feel better.

ha I was talking to my brother this morning and he was asking about me going home for Christmas and I said, "well besides, I've still got time to figure out. A month.. holy crap, it's only a month away!" I was a little shocked. I'm stilling living in September or something, methinks.

I pretty much have to mark off each week as it passes, so I have no excuse for not realizing that, omg!, it's practically Christmas!

And yet somehow I am still surprised. ::shrug::

You know what I realized last summer? I am usually involved with the work place scandal too. I don't mean to be and I usually try not to instigate but some how I end up in the middle of it.

There was the whole Jeff thing that is still being dragged out (still!), the Christmas party stuff last year, Christmas party stuff this year, the whole Amy getting written up for language (she was directing the language at me), getting the work place fired up about how some funds are suppose to be used, and some more minor things.

It sounds like I cause all of the office drama, but I don't. I actually don't even cause most of it. That is a very sad state of affairs for my work place. But highly entertaining for you, since you get to hear all about it.

You are involved with a lot of work scandal! And I love every minute of it so long as people aren't being bastards to you personally. Because, oh, they are so entertaining. Plus, it's not like I have coworkers.

The people in your office are made of crazy.

I don't remember a couple of those scandals. Next time we talk you will have to re-enlighten me. (Speaking of, I'll probably call you next week. I'm hoping for some down-ish time.)
