Another SPN Drabble

Slow days at the library generally mean I write something. Which works for my creative writing for the day.
Dean/Castiel-ish. Set between the end of season four and the beginning of season five.
Free Will
Castiel doesn’t know what makes him do it, what makes him choose Dean Winchester over all he has ever known in the entirety of creation.
He only knows he couldn’t turn his back on Dean, couldn’t leave Dean thinking he was too much of a coward, too much of a…a hammer to do the right thing, make the right choice.
The world shaking apart around him, he waits to face Raphael and feels realization dawn, self-knowledge coming too late. He has time to wonder if Dean knows that he does this not for the world or humanity, but for him.
