A Fraction's Left Up to Dispute

annundrielBehind the cut is my completely crazy "I think it would be kind of interesting if they did this on BSG" idea.
As revealed last week (though, really, I maintain everyone should have seen it coming), Cylon number seven is missing. According to Ellen, his name was Daniel and he was an artistic type.
The main theory I'm seeing just reading other people's LJs is that maybe Daniel is Kara's father and that was why she died and came back, because she's part Cylon. We know that he was a pianist and that makes him an artistic type.
But what I think would be really neat is if they pulled an Ozma of Oz trick on us. When the Wizard of Oz gave baby Ozma to the evil witch Mombi, Mombi turned Ozma into a boy named Tip. Until the events of The Marvelous Land of Oz, Tip has no idea he's been enchanted. And for most of the book, the reader doesn't know either.
It is probably not even possible, but I think it would be neat if we found out that somehow, one of the Cylons did something to the boxed Daniel that changed at least part of who he is and that Daniel and Kara are one and the same. Like, to sneak Daniel past Cavil, they disguised him as a girl by actually changing him into one.
This would also be interesting since Starbuck was a man in the original BSG.
Plus, Kara's a painter. And she's compelled to paint these things that she shouldn't even know. Latent memories surfacing?
I don't really think this is the case, but it's something I think would be interesting. And I find it fascinating to think about.
Of course, I find the father theory interesting, too.
