Sep. 7th, 2003 05:27 pmI have a major idea for a new play. Unfortunately I'm not sure what exactly to do with it. Bah.
No, that's not true. I know exactly what to do with it. Write it. I just need to pin down the details and what the idea really means. But if the details remain as good as the vague idea, heh, I'll have a new play to work on!

Date: 2003-09-08 01:04 am (UTC)As far as DD freaking you out, it is an eerie movie. Mind if I ask how easily you get scared? Because its not a bad movie. Its also not a huge horror though. Its nowhere near scary like "The Ring" scary. Its just a little eerie. If you don't like eerie, can I recommend watching it during the day? Just as long as you can get into the story and are watching, you're good to go.
A two-story Barnes & Noble!?!?!? Oh, I'm jealous. If I lived anywhere near there, I would want to live in there too. Lucky college students!
If you have a copy of your play online or on your computer that you could e-mail to me, I could check it out. Cool! I think I may have asked you this before, but do you write any poetry?

The Ring scared the bejeepers out of me while I was watching it, but when it was over I was a little, I dunno, disappointed? (Although 7 days later I did make sure I was still alive.) I guess you could say that I like scary movies if they are psychologically scary. If they challenge preconceived notions.
If I do get a chance to watch DD, I'll make my younger brother watch it with me. Then at least I can fall back on humor if it weirds me out too much.
There is a town (where my family can trace its roots to) in Wales that is practically made of nothing but bookstores.
I'll post my play here on LJ. It's one of the longest things I've ever written. (18 pages.) I do write a little poetry. Mostly I'm a prose girl though.
Psychological Book Prose
Date: 2003-09-09 04:32 pm (UTC)A town made of nothing but bookstores. Hmmmm, I wonder if I would ever be able to convince anyone to go with me? LOL, probably not. But even alone at least I'd have plenty of books to keep me occupied. I'd have to bring an extra bag luggage-wise for the books I picked up there. Oh! Heaven on earth. Well, sort of. LOL.
A prose girl huh? I've written a few poems but I never really got into prose. To be perfectly honest I don't remember the rules to writing prose? Could I get you to post some of yours?
Re: Psychological Book Prose
Date: 2003-09-09 08:29 pm (UTC)Yup, I like prose. Poetry too, but prose comes more naturally to me. Rules to writing prose? I just write! LOL. Whatever comes naturally. If I can find something I feel is worth posting, I definitely won't mind sharing it. :) I'll go dig through my stuff.
