Helter Skelter in a Summer Swelter
Apr. 17th, 2008 09:34 pmI'm so glad it was an office-centered episode this week. Partway in Mom turned to me and said that she hadn't realized a lot of the characters were absent last week and she really missed them. They really are all wonderful.
Except for Michael. With poor Pam's landlady. "Now you ruined it." How is he such a asshole sometimes? Yikes.
I was sad that Kevin isn't engaged anymore. Aw. And does Andy seem pretty toned down lately? Angela's influence?
But. JIM!!! JIIIIIIIM!!!!! "I got it after the first week we were dating." OMG. Because you PINED for YEARS. Of course you've bought the ring.
Pam was also wonderful. Pretty and concerned and her usual Pam-self.
My only concern with the ring is that Pam could say no. After the whole thing with Roy...I don't know, it's just a serious possibility. But who can say. And so far? I have to say that I don't think them being in a relationship has ruined the show. Mom and I were talking and with all the other craziness and crap that goes on around the office, it's nice to have things that are warm and fluffy, a little corner of sanity.
Meanwhile, here are two picture I took of the sunset last Sunday. Mom and I had been watching NCIS up in the bedroom where it was pretty dim and then all of the sudden things just glowed orange. It was neat.

Date: 2008-04-18 05:02 am (UTC)I WAS DEFINATELY SATISFIED WITH THIS WEEK'S EPISODE!
Michael... oh Michael. why?!
but all the other plot lines were overshadowed by Jim&Pam. I cannot wait until it happens... SERIOUSLY.
A friend and I already discussed that Rashida might appear causing stress, but we'll see.
I missed Oscar. Phyllis. I love her!
Andy is toned down. I need more Andy!
Ugh, and Jan... she only had a brief part in the episode, but jeez, she is so nuts!
in short... AMAZING!!! This is what I was looking for...

Date: 2008-04-18 06:07 am (UTC)Well, things just can't be completely easy for Jim&Pam. There needs to be some stress because then the end Jim&Pam (for it must come to pass) will be that much SWEETER.
Oscar! Michael's "Oscar Meyer weiner...lover." It was awful, so awful, but Mom and I kept repeating it anyway. Oh! And Phyllis' "Call us when you get there so we know you made it okay" when Andy had to go back to his car for his cell phone made me laugh and laugh.
I loved that at least we got glimpses of people, like Kelly and Meredith and Toby. Who had a funny reaction shot at one point.

Date: 2008-04-18 06:08 am (UTC)JIIIIIIIIIIM!!!!
There was much flailing and squealing and incoherent stuff here when that happened. Possibly I clutched Mom's arm in glee.
