I still haven't watched the last two episodes of Torchwood. And now I'll have another one to watch after tonight. Traveling kind of knocked me out of my show groove. It's not that I don't want to catch up, it's more that...I'm feeling generally kind of meh about it at the moment. For no particular reason.

Part of it may be distraction from shiny new (to me) shows. How come no one told me NCIS was funny? Y'all fail. And so far I like everybody, which is really great and somewhat unusual. Generally there's at least one character I like less, but these guys are all so...I don't know. They all just fit. But I've already formed ridiculous attachments to specific characters.

Project Runway finally had it's season finale. Which seems to me should have actually aired closer to Fashion Week, but whatever. The winner was Christian, as was to be expected. I mean, seriously, by the time it got down to these last few episodes I kind of felt like that was just a foregone conclusion.

I've posted before about disliking Christian, but, as has happened a couple of times with Bravo's reality TV "villians," he grew on me during and after the reunion episode. Steven from Top Chef was one of the first. He was such a pompous ass. But then he showed up at the reunion and was apologetic and nice while still being pompous. I like Steven now. Mostly. I still think he and Candice secretly just wanted to get it on.

Anyway. So Christian grew on me a bit. But really? I found myself not particularly invested in the outcome this season. I was curious, sure, but it was different from other seasons where I was more interested in the contestants.

But Christian won. Which was fine. His collection was interesting if a bit blah in the color palette. I was kind of leaning toward Rami, though. His two evening gowns? Wow. Jillian's collection was nice, too. I really liked a lot of her skirts.

And Top Chef returns next week. Here's hoping to a slightly more interesting season than last.

Meanwhile, Top Model actually gave me what I wanted to see: a swift dismissal of Allison! I found her annoying and full of herself and just generally not nice. Plus, as someone on last week's panel (I think it was last week) said, she was very reminiscent of a character of a show like Gossip Girl or something. So, glad she's gone.

Of the rest of them, I'm liking just about everyone. Though I'm not too into Fatima. I think it's her type of confrontational that I dislike. But with Allison gone, maybe that will change a little. Marvita, I think, could be interesting to watch progress. Same with Lauren. And Whitney. I really want Whitney to stick with her claim that she's better than previous plus-size contestants because they broke and she won't. It would be nice to see her stay strong. I really like Anya so far, too. I like listening to her. There was a Hawaiian girl who sat next to me in Asian Religions (and was my designated driver for class field trips; so nice!) who was a lot of fun to listen to, also.

I love the makeover episodes. And Mr. and Ms. Jay being silly. And, hey, no one got really weird about their new looks! Go them.

Now, the thing that's amusing me at the moment? The cast of SpongeBob SquarePants dubbing classic movies. There's Casablanca, Singin' in the Rain, and The Godfather. The voice choices in Singin' in the Rain are kind of brilliant given the movie's plot.

I was very happy that Allison was booted so quickly. As I was watching the show I was worried they would try to keep her for a while to add drama. I was pleased the panel of judges showed their smarts and sent her on her merry way. Her posing was painful to watch.

I do like Whitney very much, she is so beautiful and I feel the strongest of all the plus-sized models so far.

By the way I took a risk and purchased Torchwood and am very excited to start in on it. Oh and the joy of Battlestar Galactica Season three coming out in less than two weeks!

From what I've seen, I think I can say that I like Whitney's personality best of their plus-sized models. So, here's hoping she doesn't turn whiny/bitchy. ::crosses fingers::

Ooooh, I really hope you like Torchwood! I'm trying to think if there are any specific Doctor Who related things you need to know...If you have any questions, ask! I love discussing this stuff!
