[livejournal.com profile] ginnith was over today and we watched A Dog's Breakfast, the last three episodes of season three of DW, and "Voyage of the Damned." It was great fun.

I just had a small comment/observation about "Utopia" that I wanted to write down before I forgot and it was lost until the next time I watch the episode and think it had never occurred to me before. Because I think I did notice this, just forgot about it.

Anyway. First of all, I love the scene that takes place between Jack and the Doctor while Jack's doing his can't-die routine in the room with the radiation. But what I really love is Jack's, "But this lot, you see them out here surviving. And that's fantastic." It's the "fantastic" that does it for me. Because right there is Christopher Eccleston's Doctor in one word and I love the subtle reminder of him, purposeful or not. It's the Doctor Jack met and traveled with and fought beside.

I also really enjoy the way the Doctor says "Jack" when Jack avoids his question. Hee.
