My favorite part of last night's episode of The Office was Toby laughing at Michael's diary when they ran across, Ryan being "just as hot as Jan, but in a different way."
OH MY GOD. TOBY!
Have we ever heard him laugh before? That was amazing. And then Michael sitting with him at lunch and it all seemed like maybe they'd have a moment, but then Michael slid Toby's tray of the table. HA.
And the whole "can you make it eleven?" when they were going to make copies of Michael's diary.
I'm starting to really not like Jan. I can understand a need to separate your personal and professional lives, but she's straight up lying to Michael. Manipulator. Loved Michael taking the side of the company in the end, even though he basically got stomped on by everybody. Poor guy.
And there was the ping-pong. And Pam and Kelly.
"Sometimes I bring him juice. My boyfriend is twelve."
"You're ugly and I know it for a fact, 'cause I got the evidence. Right there."
And the post-it notes at the beginning!
Oh, show.
Then there was Ugly Betty. Mom and I talked about Ignacio and how awesome he is because he's so unflappable. Escaped convicts in his daughter's bedroom? No big deal. Hilda's also amazing. I just love the whole family.
For once there wasn't a single thing about Betty and Henry that I didn't like. Yea! I think it helped a lot that Henry was fun instead of angsty. And Marc flinging Betty's glasses off her face and then pushing Henry? With the "I can't believe that worked"? Hilarious. I think it's funny to imagine that Marc spends his day doing evil things for Wilhelmina and then goes over to Cliff's apartment to have appletinis and watch classic movies while curled up on the couch with Cliff and his cat. Oh, Marc.
The whole thing with Bradford? Made me tear up. And the shot at the end with Betty standing behind Alexis and Daniel, her hand in his? Oh. You three need each other. Please remember that.

Date: 2007-11-17 02:43 am (UTC)UGLY BETTY. Such a good show. I liked Henry much more in this one. Although when they were in bed together an episode ago, it kind of grossed me out. Is that bad? It felt too awkward.

Date: 2007-11-17 04:15 am (UTC)I wasn't necessarily grossed out by Henry and Betty in bed, but it made me really uncomfortable. I just cannot imagine those two being intimate. It's just...weird. And awkward. So you're not alone in thinking that.
