The World Spins Madly On

Battlestar Galactica continues to be mostly amazing. Except for the bits with Lee and Kara. Now, I used to really like both of them, but lately I find them get on my nerves. This started earlier for Lee than for Kara, but now, man, I'd like to smack her a little. I understand that's she gone through some really crazy shit lately, but wow. Attitude. And not even the fun kind.
Also, apparently she's one of those religious types that drive me nuts. You know, the ones that are all, "I won't divorce my husband because I made a vow, but I'll totally sleep around. That's totally fine and I don't break any rules! La!"
I really want something to happen to snap one or both of them out of this completely selfish mindset they're in. It's getting a little annoying. Plus, Anders and Dualla totally deserve better.
I was really annoyed when the preview for January was nothing but Dualla/Lee/Kara stuff. I'm sorry, but I'm so much more interested in, oh, the Eye of Jupiter and Hera and the Cylons. They could have shown us anything and they chose to show us that? Color me disappointed.
Loved the bit when Tyrol found the temple-thing. Goosebumps. I love this show and how it just gives me chills. Like when they found the Tomb of Athena and the constellations. That also gave me goosebumps. So I'm very excited for what's to come. I'm wondering though, what with his little recitation at the end and the comments of Gaeta and others if the whole thing is some kind of strange, huge plan and that they need to take that nuclear step to find the Eye. I thought I heard Tyrol say something about the sky opening up or similar and that always seems to indicate some sort of catastrophe.
Really looking forward to January 21, which isn't really that far off. I mean, compare that to the six month wait for new Stargate anything. Which is sort of wonderful and awful, because once they're back that means SG-1 is basically over. I've realized now that they've started airing commercials for their return and end that I am probably going to sob when it ends. Not that this is that surprising.
On the season one soundtrack for BSG there's a track entitled, "Helo in the Warehouse." Every time it comes up on my MP3 player I read it as, "Helo in the Whorehouse." This causes some amusement.
Because I couldn't wait for SciFi to air them, I just watched the last two eps of Doctor Who. Am a snotty mess now. Thank you, Doctor Who for breaking my heart just a little. And now I can't thinking about it and, seriously, broken.
Otherwise, the wind finally died mostly down. Thank goodness. It's quite nice and quiet and warm here in the kitchen. I hope all of you in the Seattle area are safe, warm, and dry.
