I'm going to go crazy directing the spring performance. Rehearsals are wonderful, people share ideas, everyone's motivated. Okay, so the last one's a lie. Joe is going to drive me insane! He questions every word in the script, every change that I make, every direction I give. Grr. Usually I'd only be a little ticked, but this play is mine. It's the first piece of writing I've let more than teachers and friends read. I wrote it and it is a little insulting to have it questioned at every turn. I think he does it just to get attention.

However, everyone else seems happy with it. We've been working primarily on scene one the past few rehearsals (blocking, movement, etc.) and everyone's been very helpful with their thoughts and opinions. Which I appreciate a great deal when they're shared in a constructive manner. Mrs. Lafser is leaving me in charge tomorrow since she has a meeting. It will be my first rehearsal without an older adult around. Hope I can handle it.

Had a music concert tonight. Choir did well, as did Chamber Choir. The Band did great. They played music from FotR and it gave me goosebumps.

Tomorrow is Choir/Chamber Choir contest in Wenatchee. I think we'll do well. I hope we do well enough to get a banner in Choir. Chamber Choir has been a little less than stellar, but we should do all right. Then on Thursday we leave for Spokane for music tour! Yea!!

I didn't know they were going to play it until I got myself a program half-way through the night. Parts of it did need work. The flutes during "Concerning Hobbits" couldn't slur their notes quite right and that sounded a bit stilted.

I'm sorry. :(
