annundrielTom and I watched the Buffy movie on Tuesday just because. It's not a bad movie, it's just not a great movie. You can definitely hear Joss in the writing though. Then Mom, Tom, and I watched Queen of the Damned just because it was on afterward. Wasn't that bad, really. I had expected something a little different, a little worse, than it was. So, not disappointing. In fact, I found it sort of intriguing. So now, Lord help me, I've sent Mom to the library to see if they've got Interview with the Vampire by Anne Rice. Even though I'm reading something already.
Am finally reading American Gods and am really enjoying it. I'm presented with more interesting ideas and alternate views in the first few pages of a Gaiman book than I am in almost all of my other reading. Nothing ever turns out the way I expect it to. I can't wait to see where it goes.
In even more unimportant news, Tom finished season 3 of Buffy on his own and has now started watching Angel. I'm so glad I've gotten everyone else hooked. Speaking of Angel, if they brought Faith back just to beat her up and kill her I'm going to be most seriously displeased. And if I ever have to hear Cordelia say "Now, give momma some sugar" again I'm going to hurl.
