The weekend was good and relaxing, exactly what I needed it to be. Had some good Mexican food (and a margarita), I slept lots, and put off reading because I can afford to just a little this week. And Saturday I finally got to see Lady in the Water, which I really enjoyed.

Sunday was spent playing Legend of Zelda: The Twilight Princess with Tris. Every time he switched on the GameCube I was all over it. We kicked some serious ass. It all caused Kay to mention that she's glad we get along. Twelve year age difference? Pfui! Anyway, I haven't had that much fun playing an actual game in a very long time. (The Sims does not count.) Part of what I liked about it was the "aha!" moments we'd have. We'd both get stuck, go back and futz around other places, and then, tada!, not stuck anymore!

It was a lot of fun. I'm gonna have to buy some sort of gaming system now, aren't I? I need new ways to waste time wind down.

Really randomly, Mary Poppins must have been an alien. That carpet bag is suspiciously TARDIS-like. Except without the time/space travel. Though you never know where Mary will show up next...

Oh geez, the things that run through my head.

Oh, I did get a wonderful box from my parents from Harry and David for Valentine's Day. Seriously, there is no bad in this box.

Oh, and yes, [livejournal.com profile] ginnith, you've gotten me with this song, too. Darn you! ::shakes fist:: The more I listen to it, the more it kind of gets under my skin. You're always good for some inspiration.

One of the guys at work tonight reminded me of Ianto. Probably just the coloring, hair, and suit (hello, suit), but still. Ianto-esque. First time I saw him it was from behind and he had his head bent on his cellphone, so there was a weird moment of bizarre recognition on my part.

But he came up to the desk looking for change (he was short on cents), and made conversation with me when he didn't have to. I like those patrons that talk to you without you actually provoking conversation. It's a nice change from the ones that come up and start conversations with, "I want to file a complaint."

Anyway. Clearly seeing Ianto at the library is indication that I should re-watch some Torchwood.
