Huh

Just looked out the window and did a double-take.

It's not raining. I can actually *see* blue sky.

Unlike a lot of people that were complaining in the elevator the other day, I rather like the rain. Before this last weekend, I was kind of hoping we'd break the record on those 27 consecutive days of rain back in 1950-whatever. Oh well.

It's raining again.

I have actual plans for tomorrow. Plans of the yes-I-*do*-have-a-life-outside-school nature. Woo.

Unfortunately, Dr. Cumberland decided to actually assign something, so now I've got to fit that in. Gosh darn it. Can't I just have some lazy time? Isn't that allowed? And, yes, I know that there were no classes yesterday, but that was only for people who had classes Monday anyway. And I don't. Granted, it was nice just to go to work for two hours.

And now we've actually got the assignment for writing our personal myth. I think it's funny that the assignment actually changed in the last couple of weeks from what was originally on the syllabus to what we got assigned tonight. And she didn't even remember it was different on the syllabus. I have no friggin' clue what I'm going to write. Going to have to think about this.

[livejournal.com profile] trademybike - Hopefully you'll see this. The assignment for Thursday, that's just one print-out for her, right? For some reason in class I got to thinking that we needed copies of it for the class. I think the word "Xerox" triggered things in my brain.

Looking forward to watching "Michael" after I catch up on "Coup d'Etat."

Meme Thing

I got tagged.

Ground Rules: The first player of this "game" starts with the topic "5 weird habits of yours" and people who get tagged need to write an LJ entry about their 5 quirky habits as well as state this rule clearly. In the end, you need to choose the next 5 people to be tagged and list their names.

1. I love the word "puerile" and react in a giggly way whenever it is used (in class, in fic, in novels, etc.). It's like a word kink or something.

2. When I go to bed at night, I have to look at the clock and know exactly what time it is. Sear it into my brain or something. I've kind of gotten over this now. Instead, I repeatedly check my alarm even though I *know* it's fine.

3. Whenever I run into a word I don't know in my reading I have to mark it or write it down to look it up later. If I don't, the fact that I skipped it nags me.

4. In high school (and to an extent now, but I'm so busy with classes it's hard to tell really) I hated not having a book to read. Once I finished a book, I had to have another one to start with me or I'd get a little antsy.

5. Starting in, hmm, middle school and continuing up until I left for college, I had to tell my parents "good night" and "I love you" every night before they/I went to bed. If I didn't or they didn't respond (Mom did this once or twice, not out of spite or meanness or anything. It got me shiny surprises in my lunch box.) I'd get a little upset. Something somewhere freaked me out about going to bed and not letting the people I love know I loved them. Something up anything could happen and you just can't tell and clearly I have issues. I've grown out of this one though.

I tag: [livejournal.com profile] bunnysan, [livejournal.com profile] ginnith, [livejournal.com profile] olivelavonne, [livejournal.com profile] overjoy, and [livejournal.com profile] trademybike.

Do it. Don't do it. ::shrug:: I already know how weird you guys are anyway. ;)

Meanwhile, I really want to be here right now, barefoot on the grass.
