annundrielGot diddly-squat done this weekend. Well, that's not entirely true. I got diddly-squat done school-wise this weekend. I did, however, finish reading The House With a Clock in Its Walls as well all of Howl's Moving Castle. Should have worked on papers and class reading, but I had to get HMC done or I'd do nothing but think about reading it. That plan kind of backfired when I finished it and still couldn't stop thinking about it. I'm completely enchanted by it and really wish it had been longer.
Friday Kay, the twins, and I went to Archie McPhee's. I hadn't been there in years. Tris got a sasquatch action figure since he's recently become fascinated with cryptozoology. Callie got a glider and we both got gum. The Nihilist gum was pretty funny. "We don't believe in flavor." But I had to get the Sparkle Ninja strawberry flavored gum. Because the ninja was the cutest thing.
It's really bad that everything ever reminds me of SGA in some way. I'm looking at the gum and I see Angry Scotsman. My mind goes to Beckett. I see Super Genius gum and I think of McKay. I spot the Sparkle Ninja gum last and who do I think of? Sheppard. I...don't even know why.
(Although now I do want a sparkle ninja icon.)
Anyway, now I'm sitting here working on my Angel assignment, my Chinese scripture, and watching The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe. Last night we watched Brokeback Mountain. It just doesn't get any less depressing.
