Happy New Year's Eve!
Dec. 31st, 2002 01:29 pmWell, I've got the first act of my play written. Go me! I'm so happy. *grin* And I have the set-up for the second act all set up. Now I just have to introduce the inspector, have an investigation, solve it, present it a la Agatha Christie, and wrap it all up. All while making really cheesey jokes. Hopefully I can finish by Monday. If I don't finish, I'll be very very close to finishing, which is good also. Now all I can hope for is that it's any good and other people like it. *crosses fingers*
Watched Reign of Fire yesterday. It was good, I think. But I'll say just about anything's good. However, I felt that I was really just getting into the characters and the plot when it ended. I mean, there had been development earlier on, and it was fine, but I really felt some things just kind of happened. In a way, though, I suppose they did. After the beginning of the movie, I think the story only took a few days to happen. *shrug* It was enjoyable. Oh, but the DVD was crappy. Whoever rented it before us decided to use it as a dinner plate. It was gross. So we cleaned it and then it worked and all was good.
Am reading Good Omens by Neil Gaiman (woo!) and Terry Pratchett. Why didn't I read these authors sooner? I was missing so much. And how come I can't find the second Sandman book anywhere?? Or The Subtle Knife? Everywhere I look they have the first and the third, but not the second. It's a conspiracy. Guess I'll just have to use Amazon.
Happy New Year!!
