I made a bad joke in my Porter review.
Porter describes the child-bearing history of one Lady Bristol, who married at the age on nineteen and produced twenty children in twenty years (27). Not many survived, but the fact that she produced that many and that was, for lack of a better word, her "job" or her "purpose" sort of astounds me. It is something that I have difficulty wrapping my head around. I cannot conceive of having that many children in that many years.
I really want to put a (ha!) in there after "conceive." I think it's funny.
My SGA download is going to take forever (although it's already at 32%), but I don't care because it's going to be my treat tonight when I get my English paper turned in and a good chunk taken out of the Philosophy final.
ETA: OMG I am an idiot. Printing out my English paper, which finally made it to the top of the tenth page. Looked at the syllabus. Formal Seminar Paper: 8 - 10 pages. I suppose this will teach me to double-check the syllabus before I start trying to squeeze another couple of pages out. ::facepalm::
Hopefully the length will help make up for how crappy it is.
