Called my mom afterwards and told her all about it. Her response? "So, could you say that you had socks with Neil?" Ahem. ;D

So I got Anansi Boys and Neverwhere signed. He even personalized Neverwhere even though he said he wasn't doing personalizations. It wasn't *that* personal though. But it was more than my name and his signature. So there.

What started out as a really crummy day turned into one of the better ones. Thanks to Dahlia and Seth for that. :)

Also, Joss Whedon broke me. Seth fixed me. Woo.

Or something. ;)

I'm on quite a nice geek-high right now. Fun times.

I wasn't in class because I got back from Philosophy and lunch and had a rather complete, sloppy emotional breakdown/anxiety attack.

And then a couple of friends from home called and said they were in town and had tickets to the Neil Gaiman signing in the U District and would I like to go. When I first heard about it, I wanted to go. But I was scared to do it all alone. But when they called how could I pass it up? :) I've never been to a book signing before. It was pretty neat.

I read that you didn't get to go. :( How frustrating. That seriously sucks. Parentals. ::eyeroll:: I totally wasn't planning on going, but then a friend had tickets and things just fell into place.

I was calm and collected until they introduced him and he came out to the microphone. At which point I had an "OMG I'm in the same room as NEIL" moment and couldn't stop grinning.
