annundrielHad a crappy day yesterday, so I called Neesha and she came and rescued me. Yea!! Went to Starbucks and chatted about SG-1/SGA and books and writing and work. Went to the movies and saw Bewitched which was very cute (and I still have the theme music stuck in my head). Was impressed with Will Ferrell's ability to actually play serious at moments. Unfortunately, some really stupid teenage girls ended up sitting in front of us. omg, die please.
Then we went to dinner and talked about, um, stuff. And Neesha droze us back and told me about schizophrenia and that gave me a couple of ideas to play with writing-wise. And then we ogled Ben Browder and Michael Shanks and it was all good.
But in my most exciting news, and this will give you a clue as to just how boring my everyday life really is, I got Tom AND Nicholas hooked on Firefly. Go me! Happy panda. I have gone down to the living room twice to find them watching it without me. I'm very pleased. Last year we couldn't get Tom to sit down and give it a shot, and now he's finally watching it.
Yes, I am boring.
Leaving for Seattle today! Yea! Kay and Greg will leave tomorrow and then I am on my own. Saving fanfiction and things on disk so that I've got some fannish stuff to take my mind off of the creepiness of Haunted. It's a really bad idea for me to read that book at night while I'm alone in a house with it's own strange noises. Baaaad idea.
