Jun. 23rd, 2005 04:56 pmFinished reading Something Rotten. Have now started Haunted by Chuck Palahniuk. (How do you pronounce his last name?) I'm glad it takes a lot to put me off of something, because that first story by Saint Gut-Free? Whoa. That's, um, that's pretty disgusting. (I'm not saying that's a bad thing, I'm just pointing out the obvious.) But I'm really enjoying the writing style and the premise. I'm intrigued as to what it's all going to come down to.
So, at this point, thank you for recommending it, Kasey.

Only have one episode left of SG-1 season five. Which means Daniel has left the building. Woe. I have to say, that "Meridian" was a lot more painful for me to watch than I thought it would be, especially since I've known about it since before I ever considered watching SG-1 on a regular basis. The individual reactions to Daniel's impending demise, the truth of what happened in the lab...it all just worked for me. And the Jack/Daniel moments. Romantic or not, those two love each other.
Also, I really like Jonas. I remember this last school year I caught most of a season six episode and was kind of disappointed Daniel wasn't there. I think I complained to Natasha, because at that point I was only in season one and I wanted more Daniel. Shame on me. But watching the ep, I found that I couldn't hold Daniel's absence against Jonas. And now after meeting him for the first time within the series, I don't think that will change.

Tacos for dinner. Yea!
I leave for Seattle to house-sit in about six days. Woo. This means: air-conditioning, a set of TV channels I understand, free alone time to do whatever I like. And also probably a couple of nights of "omg what was that sound?!?"
Exciting.

And I'm seriously impressed with how he can make me go "ew" and "wow" at the same time. Because some of that stuff's not pleasant, but you certainly can't deny the brilliance of it.
