Have spent the entire day reading The Calligrapher for Intertextuality. While I am enjoying the book a great deal, I think that the main character is starting to wear on me a bit. A lot of my classmates have said that they couldn't put the book down, and while I have trouble putting it down at times, there are more times where I have to put it down because I just need to do something else. And I think it's the main character's fault. In real life, I'm pretty sure he'd drive me friggin' insane.

Good book though. Sort of...modern romantic British comedy. Hugh Grant could probably play the main character in the movie. Or a Hugh Grant type. Maybe Jude Law. But not a Clive Owen type. He'd be too...not metrosexual? I dunno. Something like that. (I'm going to feel really stupid now if they do make a movie, and it does say the rights have been obtained or whatever, and Clive plays the lead.)

*Finally* got to see the miniseries of Battlestar Galactica with Edward James Olmos and Jamie Bamber (ARCHIE! With dark hair! And no accent! (Though it sneaks in.)). Really enjoyed it. Was able to sit through all four hours without becoming bored or antsy. I think I have another new show to catch up on and watch. Like I need that. ::eyeroll:: *g* It's good, like everyone everywhere has said.

Gotta get back to my book. Must finish before class tomorrow. Don't want ending ruined. Yea for Friday!

Archie *coo*

I actually got Battlestar on DVD the other day! I caught it on t.v. last weekend, Friday night I think, but I was busy watching something else and couldn't be interrupted (Legend of Bagger Vance, methinks), and I saw he was on there and just melted. That man is fuckin HOT!!! Anyway, I immediately got up, ordered it from Walmart, and I got it on Tuesday. I just need to sit and watch it now. That, and the last two episodes of HH. We've been to broken to watch past Archie's death, but we will do it!

I made my mom tape BSG for me. So now it is shiny and on tape if not DVD. But I will totally be buying it at some point in the future because, hey, it was actually good besides just pretty. And, yes, Jamie Bamber is HOT. ::is dead:: I mean, whoa. It's kinda funny 'cause he's so friggin' cute on HH. I remember when they first started showing previews for the BSG mini last summer, all I could do was go "OMG Archie! I must see it!" For some reason it took me this long to watch it.

Oh dear, the last two movies, huh? Just wait. Poor Horry. ;)
