So I may be a big ol' wimp with an overactive imagination and weird issues with frogs and water and the unknown, but I watch stuff like
Ghost Hunters (Lord help me, I just cannot stop) and
Destination Truth and all I can think is, "That would be
so cool! I want to do
that!"
I don't even really like walking across our yard at night, which has a lot to do with the huge, black, empty space that is our front field, and yet I find myself drawn to these shows about the unexplained because I
really want to know. Even though I sometimes regret it after the show is over and it's one in the morning and there are strange noises outside because the cat is just insane.
It's funny (or not), but I think I'd be fine in a group situation where the members are intelligent, methodical people (by which I really mean they're not those whackados that they have on those "13 Haunted Houses" shows practically every channel runs during October) and where everyone has a task to perform. Like my issues with water. Not a huge fan of rowboats, but give me an oar, let me have some control, and I'm fine.
I just think it would be fascinating stuff. Also, fun gadgets.

Today I discovered
Amuse-Biatch, a blog devoted to
Top Chef, where I learned that the head shaving incident of season two? Did not go down as it was presented. Cliff, Sam, Ilan, and Elia were going to shave Marcel's head
first. There's a bit with Marcel
here and then more throughout (but I am lazy). Also, the original airing apparently showed Elia in the corner of the screen laughing as Marcel escaped Cliff's hold and went to the bathroom, her head still covered with hair. I found the whole thing appalling before. Now I'm just sort of stunned by the bad behavior exhibited. Wow, people. Bravo really should have followed Tom Colicchio's advice and disqualified the four of them, making Marcel winner by default.
So there's that.
( As for tonight? )
