My brother is basically moved out now. He and our cousin are living in the other house on what used to be the other property (before we bought the property that lay between the two).

These means that hallway smells less of boy and we have an extra room! Guests may not have to sleep on air mattresses any longer if they don't want to. Plus! Maybe now the boys won't spend so much time here sitting in the living room and laughing stupidly. And leaving garbage and dirty dishes lying around. Is it so hard to move things from one room to another? Seriously.

Meanwhile, I'm greatly disappointed in Wenatchee and its ability to actually have things I want. We went to three different stores the other day looking for season three of Doctor Who and had absolutely no luck. Bah. Although I did get season two of Bones at Costco and have basically been watching nothing else. Oh, Bones.

Last Thursday I worked a few hours down in Mattawa. So far I like working down there, but I have a tiny problem with the drive home. Mainly that it's way too suggestive to my over-active imagination. There's this stretch between the river and the highway where there is nothing, absolutely nothing. There aren't even lights from houses off the road. It's just slightly hilly sagebrush and I'm driving along in the dark thinking of three things: the beginning of Torchwood's "Countrycide," parts of Wolf Creek, and The Hills Have Eyes. So I turn up bright, happy music and focus on the road and not what would happen should I get a flat tire and lose phone reception.

Guess What?

I'm HOME. There is snow everywhere. My toes are cold. But I have coffee and am going to inflict Torchwood on my mother later and it's all good.

And, damn, Bud's gotten big. Definitely not baby-puppy sized anymore.

Still have two finals to write, but that's hardly anything.

YEA HOME.

Home now. It's freezing. Why did I ever think it would be a good idea to leave Seattle's 40 degree weather for central Washington's 20 degree weather? And snow?

Well, alright, the snow's fun.

Played the Sims2 a bunch. Zelenka and Elizabeth *finally* had a boy. No more kids for them. This last pregnancy left Elizabeth really exhausted. So, anyway. I can stop making them have kids now.

Also read Brokeback Mountain after finding a copy online. I'm going to be seriously upset when this movie doesn't play anywhere that I can get to. I asked Mom last night, knowing the answer but asking anyway, "Do you think it will play in Moses?" She kind of snorted over the phone and said no. Moses Lake's theater sucks beyond the telling movie-wise. Maybe, maybe I'll get lucky and it'll play in Wenatchee. But I doubt it.

Anyhoo. Yea, home!

Whee!

HOME. YEA.

Pass was clear and dry. Windy, though. There was an accident of some sort, pushing us down to one lane, and the rock slide of course, but really easy trip. Phew.

Happy panda!

Also, SGA's "The Hive" premiered last night in Canada, lucky them. But I have it now and just having it makes me grin. I'm easy. (No, not like *that*.)

Let's just say... )

It was kind of torture watching it though. I d/led it this morning before I left for Astronomy and got to watch the first 20 minutes. And then I had to go to three hours of class. And then pack and travel. Settle into home a little. And *then* watch the rest of the episode. Most of which I watched from behind my hands.

Introduced Mom to Veronica Mars. Still brilliant on third viewing. I don't know if it will be possible, but we're going to try and watch the entire season. Already have four episodes down.

It's cold here. The water in the faucets is *freezing* and takes forever (feels like) to get warm when I wash my hands. But it's good to be here, even for just a couple of days.

Also, House tonight was kind of crazy. And I missed all but five random minutes of Nip/Tuck. Sad.
