How can a horse milk a cow? ::boggles::

Seriously. How do the Houyhnhnms get milk from the cows?

It's kind of funny that I can buy into a land where the horses are superior and can speak, but I can't wrap my mind around them being able to milk a cow. Because really? That's just ridiculous.

I need to find my picture of kittens nursing off of Sandy. Horses milking cows is along the same lines of cats milking dogs.

Yes, but how do the horses get the milk from the cows into bowls and things? Would they nurse off the cow and then spit the milk into a container? And that's just disgusting and gross and if I was Gulliver I'd totally drink water and say "screw calcium!"
