Fun with Poe and Nietzsche
Oct. 27th, 2004 03:55 pmSo despite the fact that I got the symbolism backward in my English theme paper regarding "The Fall of the House of Usher" and had to add a note at the end saying "Now that I've heard the lecture, I now think..." I still got an A! This has made my day.
I've taken work off tonight because I am feeling really overwhelmed by school at the moment. Not so much now that I've gotten through American Lit, but I have to finish reading Nietzsche and do the questions and vocabulary for it. And that's got me a little freaked. At least the questions. However, I'm finding Nietzsche easier to read than other philosophers I've had to read thus far. And laughing. I'm not supposed to be laughing at Nietzshe. What the hell? I'm alternately reading Daybreak and laughing out loud, agreeing, and disagreeing, depending on the aphorism.
Anyway.
Mom sent me a copy of a Damien Rice CD. I really like it so far. Got to track 3 ("The Blower's Daughter") and went "Hey...This sounds really familiar..." Turns out it's used in the preview for Closer. (Clive! Jude!) It's all good.

Didn't watch Lost 'cause I know you tape 'em. :) Watched Smallville instead. And while it wasn't god, it was good. There was squeeing.
Go you!

Date: 2004-10-28 09:40 pm (UTC)Okee dokee... this should make everything easier than typing out a big ol thing....
Tomorrow, catch a bus from behind Campion (out the back doors) at 1:15 p.m. - a number 4 which will continue to 201 Mercer Street, which is where the Intiman is. You'll want to get off at 5th Ave. and Republican and from there, you'll see the Intiman once you get walking.
seattle bus website (http://tripplanner.metrokc.gov/cgi-bin/itin_page.pl?resptype=U)
Here's the website just in case you wanna play with times. Taking the 1:15 will get you there at about 1:40, so you might want to go for something earlier. On that main page, you can also change dates, so you can play ahead for Wednesday.
If you want to use addresses for getting there and back,
Campion's address is 914 E. Jefferson Street and the Intiman is 201 Mercer Street. On the main page, Campion will go in #1 and Intiman in #2... the closest you'll probably get to the Intiman will be about 0.3 miles (about 3 blocks)
If you have questions, call me at either x8103 or 8082502691 if we no answer at the dorm. Hope this helps!
