Dipping my toes in. It was bound to happen eventually.

Sherlock/John. PG.

Evidence

Sherlock traces the edges of John’s scar with his fingers, tastes it with the tip of his tongue, following the differentiation of tissue over muscle and bone.

He’s not a sentimental man, but the feelings this evidence of John’s mortality inspire within him are sharp and hard and fierce, burning in his chest with an intensity that surprises Sherlock. It's fascinating and terrifying, electrifying.

This thing with John, this flatmate, colleague, friend thing with John...This situation where he finds himself in John's room, in John's bed, pressed skin to skin with John...

Not even Sherlock could have seen it coming.

Read it & reread it. Then reread it one more time. Love it.

So, this will definitely be less coherent, just warning you. ;)

I love the fact that you're dabbling in this fandom, I love that you got me into this fandom in the first place, and I love the mental image this drabble evokes.

(also, "differentiation" ftw)

I am in serious need of a BBC Sherlock icon.

Pfft, coherency. As long as Sherlock has it, the rest of us don't need it. ;)

I am so happy that you watched it and enjoyed it! And that I have someone to talk about it with (I am selfish, you see).

I'm trying to write it anyway. It's really quite daunting.

I'm so happy that you liked it! :D
