Well, yesterday was the last day of spring quarter classes. Yea!! Now I just have my last day of work tomorrow and all of my finals to do/turn in on Thursday. And then I go home! Yea again!! I cannot wait to get out of here. I'm going crazy in my room. Seriously.
Yesterday I finished reading The Well of Lost Plots by Jasper Fforde. It's the third book in the Thrusday Next Series and I absolutely recommend this serious to anyone who enjoys reading, books, and English. It's just too clever for words. Read 'em!
Some more HP thoughts. Randomly. And some stuff I figured out/noticed that I think are interesting.
-Lupin's music and gramophone. Perfectly suited.
-Harry's constant black-outs.
-The twins! And the finishing of each other's quick-fire sentences. Dragging Harry with his cloak. "You're playing with the big boys now."
-Ron and Hermione in Hogsmeade, particularly at the Shrieking Shack.
-Harry and Hermione in the snow. Well, Harry in the snow at least. *sniff*
-The R/Hr hand-grab!! Squee!!!
-Percy trying to get through the crowd in the Portrait Gallery and not succeeding at all. Ha!
-The Gryffindor boys in their dormitory room. Perfect!
-Neville and the Monster Book of Monsters. (I secretly <3 Neville. Shhh.)
-Buckbeak's flight.
-Remus. <3.
-Sirius. <3.
-Sirius and Remus. <3. (And I don't necessarily mean slashy. But "old married couple"? Whee!!)
-Snape. <3. I think that the scene outside of the Whomping Willow really showed us Snape's true mettle.
-The map and the credits!!
But what I really really loved?? The whole theme of Time and Circularity and Reflections everywhere in the movie! The Time one is really obvious, what with the clock tower and Time Turner. But there's also the passing of seasons, and the best example are the orbiting planets in Lupin's classroom/wherever they were. Beautiful. Which also ties in with Circularity. Did you know that the movie's first word is "lumos" and last word is "nox"? Really, it is. I picked this up on my own. And then Reflections played a big part. They were everywhere. Harry's face in the window, his reflection in the lake, in the boggart wardrobe. All of them leading up to the ultimate reflection during the Patronus scene.
