Dean/Cas/Panties = OT3

I had a rather disappointing day, so let's talk about something that's not so disappointing.

Like that panty fic I wrote.

You know what my very favorite part of that fic is? I mean, besides Dean getting off on wearing lacy women's underwear?

Castiel went out and bought them for him.

Castiel figured out it was something Dean wanted, and then he walked into a store and he picked them out.

I don't know, there's just something about it that gets me. The incongruity of Castiel in, say, Victoria's Secret. Hopefully not getting security called on him for being Weird with a capital W.

I have notes in my writing notebook for a potential follow-up. (I don't know, would that be overkill?) Because there's also something about Dean realizing that Cas bought them for him, that he went into a store and picked them out. And suddenly Dean wants to know if Cas chose the color, the fabric, the cut and style himself, or if he let someone else pick them out.

And if Cas chose them specifically...what does that say? What did he tell the clerk? Anything? That they were for a man? With hairy balls and a dick, no feminine parts in - or out - of sight?

Dean would bet that women were all over Cas, if he wasn't freaking them out with his intense staring in a store selling lacy underthings. But then...Cas only really looks at Dean like that, so maybe there's no need to worry.

Everything you said there, all of it. On top of that, do we as viewers/readers get to see them differently? Does the person they're with see them differently? How do they react? Depending on who they're with, do they open up more? Do they surprise themselves?

There are just so many things that can be going on under the surface. I love it. (It's also one of the reasons I don't think I'll ever be entirely comfortable with the term PWP.)

Oh, god. And then he's torn between thinking about Cas keeping them, and the right now, with Cas wearing them. And how long has he been wearing them? Since that night? Did he put them on right before they started doing this? And oh, god, who knew they'd be just as hot on Cas as it was wearing them.

And, oh, underneath that is the realization that Cas probably planned this. He put them on knowing they would eventually get here, pressed together and panting. Which just leads Dean back to Cas buying them, because he planned that, too. It wasn't just a spur of the moment thing, the two of them unable to keep their hands off each other for more than five minutes when they're alone.

This is not the Cas who rubbed his neck nervously when Dean mentioned sex. It's not the Cas who downed half a beer looking terrified. This is a Cas who saw something that he wanted, that he thought Dean wanted, and went for it.

And oh, god, who knew they'd be just as hot on Cas as it was wearing them.

This image, and Dean floored and staring, is going to kill me forever. He'd want to reach out and touch, stand back and stare. Wonder about his own reaction and then just not care because, hello, Cas is right there waiting expectantly.

I agree. I always kind of wanted them to do more with the ideas that angels are genderless, sexless beings. And then, outside of the show since they'd never really go there, what happens when you put them in bodies and in cultures where people make gender and sex, and their performances, a big deal.

To make sure, though, Cas would pin his hips down until Dean calms enough to hold still again. Sometimes Castiel appreciates it when Dean thinks, but a lot of the time? Dean thinking leads to Dean doing and it's usually Dean doing something stupid and dangerous that could be avoided with some thinking done by someone else.

And as much as Castiel loves Dean's stubborness (finds it frustrating, but it's part of what makes Dean Dean), he'd much rather have him safe, quivering under Castiel's fingers.

There's also the satisfaction Castiel takes in being able to make Dean stop thinking. If he were a being who could be addicted to things, he thinks he'd be addicted to this, to that moment where Dean's hedonism wins the fight with his willpower and the long line of his body relaxes into the bed. He's almost as completely Castiel's creature then as he was when Castiel was rebuilding him from the dust of the earth. Castiel gazes down at his fascinating, frustrating, beautiful creature, knowing he's entirely at Castiel's mercy, and is always a little shocked at what answers from within him.
