Two episodes left and let's just say I am digging this series so hard and mostly leave it at that.

I feel a little strange saying I want to fangirl fictional versions of real people, but I do. All of them, basically, with a few (obvious, I think) exceptions.

Last night when I was telling Mom all of the people I enjoy the most and feel invested in, I realized the list kept going on. "Oh, there's Brad and Nate and Ray. Oh! Walt! And Garza. Doc Bryan. Poke. Rudy. That one guy that's now on that one show..."

I may have to get the book from the library now.

Meanwhile, (back at the ranch) I am half-way through the first Sookie Stackhouse book, Dead Until Dark. I have to say, I like Sookie a lot better in the book. So far anyway. I feel that way about a couple of characters, actually. I think part of it may have to do with not having to hear them speak.

It amuses me that Vampire Bill listens to Kenny G.

I love GK fic! But I'm waiting until after BB to actually watch the mini. No need to jump into a new fandom while I'm still firmly ensconced in one already!

Me, too! The fic is actually what pushed me over the edge from "sort of curious" to "must see NOW".

That's probably a good idea, waiting until BB is over to watch it. I'm apparently actively writing fic in three fandoms now and starting to worry about being able to finish anything any more since they're all shiny and distracting.

Seriously, isn't Generation Kill awesome? You should definitely read the book, it's interesting to see what bits they decided to focus on in the miniseries vs what was left out. The commentary from the actual guys is really interesting to watch as well.

And TV!Nate/Brad are so OTP. I felt a little weird at first about shipping them because these characters are actual people, but the onscreen versions are just so made for each other.

I just finished watching Generation Kill last night and, yes, absolutely awesome. The way it left me feeling was interesting, though; satisfied but sort of melancholy, I suppose. Which probably shouldn't be a huge surprise considering I can watch only the last five minutes of Band of Brothers and bawl like a baby.

I'm waiting for the book from the library now. And my own copy of the DVDs from Amazon. Because these guys just kind of sneak under your skin. After marathoning it, it's weird not to have Marine chatter going on around you.

And TV!Nate/Brad are so OTP.

They so are. The trust and the respect and the looks...totally OTP. I love it and them and, yeah, I may be reading a lot of fanfiction at the moment.
