Michael: from 2010 or 1978?

He sure seemed to know a lot about what was going on in 2010. But how did he know to be in '78 if he was from '10?

And if he was from '78, how'd he know everything that was going on? That strange angelic ability to read/know people?

I kind of like the idea, though I don't think it's the right one, that the Michael we met in 5.13 was from '78 and just happened to know what was coming up, but that we haven't seen him in '10 because something happened to him between then and now that he didn't foresee. Like doing a runner like Gabriel. Or he had a change of heart. Realized something about God and His plan. I dunno. Speculation is kinda fun.
