I'm quite fond of the way SPN titles its episodes.

Supernatural - "Sam, Interrupted"

Part-way through this, round-about the time Dean was talking his issues out with his imaginary doctor, I got to thinking, y'know, it'd be nice if we addressed some of Sam's massive issues. It's probably pretty obvious that I'm more of a Dean-girl, but I love Sam. Always have. When I started watching the show (less than a year ago, haha), I loved them both equally. Somewhere Dean just kind of...became a little more front and center. And my own fic-writing tendencies and leanings certainly put Dean in the spotlight more than Sam. But that's just because it's Dean's issues I generally want to poke at.

Or generally want Castiel to poke at. Y'know. Whatever. ;)

But I was really glad to see some of Sam's issues - like his anger - get addressed. Or, rather, mentioned. DEAN, TELLING YOUR BROTHER TO BURY HIS ISSUES IS GOING TO BITE YOU IN THE ASS. BURYING YOUR OWN ISSUES IS GOING TO BITE YOU IN THE ASS. YOU'RE NOT THE SHARPEST CRAYON IN THE BOX. IN FACT, YOU'RE ONE OF THOSE STUBBY CRAYONS THEY GIVE YOU AT DENNY'S, AREN'T YOU?

Ahem. Seriously, though. I know Dean would rather not talk about things, but you'd think he'd at least learn something by now. Pushing Sam away and not talking to him leads to, oh, lies and hiding and sneaking around and we all know how that ended.

I loved that the whole "truth is stranger than fiction" act got them into the hospital. I loved that hospital meant less layering. Hellooooo arms. ::is shallow:: I might need to rewatch "In My Time of Dying" now.

I knew there wasn't going to be any Castiel in this one. But I had fun imagining him there. He wouldn't have to change a thing, just introduce himself as an angel of the Lord and look around like a deer caught in the headlights.

Huh. Actually, I just remembered that I have sketchy notes (from last July) about fic where Castiel falls and Dean and Sam find him at a mental institution. By accident. Because they overhear someone talking about one of the patients thinking he's an angel and that the world is ending.

Random: I wonder if Dean's read One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest. Seen the movie, definitely. It's just one of those "what would you find on this character's nightstand" kind of things.

I feel like I should have something else, but I don't. ::shrug::

I don't think I actually realized how much I missed these guys until they were back on my TV.

ETA: Oh, yeah. WTF, PROJECT RUNWAY??
