I just got a phone call from a 555-5555 number with a recording saying my debit card had been deactivated because of new services (or something) and did I want to reactivate it. If so, put the digits in.

I hung up instead.

Real? Scam? Someone want to go with me to an ATM and find out if my card still works?

Also, I would totally headdesk right now except then there'd be brains everywhere and no one to clean them up. ARGH. Well shafts and parking! City council you are BORING ME TO DEATH.

Sorry about the multiple posts. This happens when I'm stuck at the computer all day.

The internet says it's a real number. But even if it's a real number, doesn't necessarily mean it's all on the up-and-up, y'know?

Not going to happen anyway. If I'm going to mess with my debit card, I'm going to get my bankers directly.

Oh, that's the other thing. There was no mention of my banks name in the recording. So, yeah. Weird.
