I laughed a little over this: Harper's Finally Gives These Nice Twilighting Kids Some Exposure (Am I Saying That Right?).

Kristen Stewart looks good. Though kind of...Evan Rachel Wood-y. (I think it's the smile.)

Anyway, what I found most amusing was the "WHAT'S SEXY NOW" plastered on top of them. Not referring to them, because of the "Update Your Look" underneath, but still. Arguably Twilight is what's sexy now. To the masses anyway.

But the reason I found it amusing was because back when the new Star Trek came out, there was an article on Yahoo asking if Chris Pine and Zachary Quinto could beat Robert Pattinson out for attention from the hordes. Their answer was "No." The reason?

Unlike Z-Pine, who look like real grownups who have real sex, R.Pattz—thanks in part to a role as a perpetual teenage vampire—comes off like a kid. A nonsexually threatening kid.

I think this is a good post to say that I've been thinking about the phrase "eye candy" and the not so correct "eye food" lately. (Gee, I wonder why?) For me it's come to a point where "eye candy" is exactly what it sounds like, someone pretty to look at. "Eye food" totally able to describe people who "look like real grownups who have real sex" or are just too substantially attractive to be candy.

Eye candy = Zac Efron (when he doesn't have stupid hair, think Hairspray)
Eye food = Misha Collins (c'mon, you know I'm right)

Ugh. Kristin Stewart. Hate. Almost as much as I hate Stephanie Meyer and her stupid writing.

But I love RPatz. And him as sexy Edward Cullen. And I actually find Edward Cullen totally sexy and sexual. But I may just be hoping.

Have you seen Jimmy Fallon as RPatz? www.robertisbothered.com

I like RPatz, but he doesn't really do a lot for me. Although he is very attractive. It's just a different type of sexy.

Edward's got the vampire thing going and that's loaded with sexual imagery.

Haha, thanks for the link! I hadn't seen that before.

They still haven't cleaned up his eyebrows. You know, as a celebrity who is completely hairless to begin with, you'd think they'd affix some slimmer looking caterpillars on his face.

Oh god. I now have the weirdest image of them trying to get the caterpillars to stay in place long enough to take pictures/shoot a scene.

"God damn it! Where's the caterpillar wrangler!"

Thanks, Mary. I laughed so hard I choked on my own spit. It triggered a horrible landslide of hacking and coughing until I couldn't breathe.

Which of course we all know is the best reaction anyone can have to any funny item of business.

"SRY. The caterpillar wrangler's union." (and so's Zelenka)

::dusts off hands:: Well then my work here is done.

::win::

SRY?

Aaand now I have visions of them not allowing someone through the 'gate because they're smuggling lifeforms to another galaxy on their face. ("These caterpillars used to be Ancients! No really!")

I'm sorry but after seeing this (http://community.livejournal.com/rpattzdaily/1157446.html) I can't think of RPatz as anything but kinda creepy.

And I swear I would shave my head if I never had to hear anything about Twilight or anything Stephanie Meyer related again. It was cute at first, but now I just find it really, really annoying. That wasn't too strong was it?

Oh!Oh! I love Chris Pine and Zach Quinto! There are the only celebrities I've read RPF on and enjoyed it! They are such beautiful people! *sighs*

LOL Those are TERRIFYING. HOLY CRAP.

I liked Twilight, I did. As purely escapist fluff. I read it during senior year when I was taking, like, Masculinity in the Middle Ages and Irish Lit and some other intense English course and it was nice to read something that had SPARKLES in it. After the second book, though, I gave up. It's a series that is good for the crack, but not so good for people taking it seriously.

Saying you find it "really, really annoying" is actually pretty gentle. :) I did enjoy the movie, though. Again, fun escapist fluff.

I love Chris Pine and Zachary Quinto, too! And am not ashamed of loving the RPF/RPS surrounding them. It's fun times.
