Supernatural - "Good God, Y'all"

Last season was about tearing Sam and Dean apart. And consequently the world. I think this season will be about building them, and it, back up. At least I hope so. Because Sam and Dean going there separate ways? So sad.

However, I do think they need it at this point. A lot has happened (understatement) and I think they need to work on themselves before they can work on what's between them.

In the end, I think they'll be successful. I mean, what did Dean tell Castiel in the green room? That people and families are worth it. Right now Dean may be less about family because he feels betrayed, but I don't think that will last.

Randomly:

- I really enjoy "The Road So Far."

- The episode damn near did me in during the first six minutes alone. They just kept...piling on the things that were awesome. Bobby, the x-rays, Castiel using Sam's cell phone to find them (though why he didn't call Dean's...?), Castiel's announcement, his rant. The conversation between Dean and Castiel. Actually saying "I did it, all of it, for you." (!!!!) The amulet.

This:

DEAN: Great, now I feel naked.
CASTIEL: I'll be in touch.
MOM: ::Castiel voice:: When you are naked.

I was generally gleeful. It's probably kind of sad.

They are just...They are like magnets. Set them anywhere in a room, anywhere in the scene and they will eventually be RIGHT THERE in each other's faces. I love it. They may gravitate away from each other (I'm thinking "When the Levee Breaks"), but they always come back together.

I think Dean and Sam are the same. They drift apart, but eventually they'll be side-by-side again. Which is why I'm not too worried about the end of tonight's episode.

- Ellen! I love her and was so glad she was back. And didn't die! In a horrible symbolic manner, too. I don't know what my problem is lately, but you put anyone on the pointy end of a knife and suddenly I'm all, "Oh noes! Look at the phallic symbolism! What does this mean?"

Which is only fun when Castiel pins Dean to a wall and pulls something phallic out of his pants.

Anyway. I loved the hug she gave Dean and the fact that it was followed by a punch. She and Dean are just...generally awesome. Together, apart. However you wanna slice it.

No hugs for Sam. All he got was beaten up and salted. (There is probably a joke in there about preparing meat, but meh.)

- War! Four horsemen! I'm looking forward to this. Except my mind kept going to Good Omens and then I wondered where Aziraphale and Crowley were.

(Speaking of angels and demons outside of SPN. I would like to see Sam and Dean kill Jennifer in the Jennifer's Body previews.)

- Mount Doom joke! I think we all went there.

I am really, really looking forward to next week. Even the Sam stuff. Which...isn't surprising, since I do love Sam and I feel for the guy and I want to know where he's going and how he'll get there. But Dean and Castiel are just so...intense and shiny and badass.
