Writin' Stuff
Aug. 13th, 2009 12:27 pmI have this Dean/Castiel fic I began at the end of June. I can't decide if I should finish it or give it up as a lost cause. I don't think it's bad and I'm pretty sure it has potential, I just...I don't know. I had to take a step or two back from SPN fic there for a while. Not for any particular reason, really, other than I've turned slightly more poly-fannish and so have been cycling through three different interests.
And if I'm completely honest, there was a week/week-and-an-half there where Torchwood completely killed my desire to write any fanfiction whatsoever. (Way to go, TW.) There are pages of original stuff in my notebook now. Crazy!
I also have an idea for a post-"Love & War" DiNozzo/McGee fic based loosely on one of my favorite scenes from one of my favorite movies, The Shop Around the Corner. If I could make it work, I think it could work really well. Sometimes I get scared of characterization though. And beginnings. Mostly beginnings. However, since I've yet to get what I want in regards to "Love & War" fic-wise, I think I might have to actually seriously poke at it.
So what do I do? Finish or drop the SPN fic? Focus my attention on NCIS? Do both? I have friends I definitely know would say do both.
