This year I've been trying to write a little something creative every day. So far, I have been successful. Some of it has led to fic that gets posted, and some to things that will never see the light of day. But at least I'm writing, yeah?

Sometimes, though, it gets to be 11 PM and I have a lot of trouble finding inspiration. This leads to me scrolling my moodtheme waiting for something to get my attention. (I have a whole series connected by LJ moods now.)

My question to y'all is this: Would anyone be interested in helping a girl out by supplying a prompt or two? A word, a phrase, original, fanfiction. I'm open for suggestions.

Hmm. How about Arthur/Merlin, grapes. Or spring flowers.

Or McGee/DiNozzo, the sound of a gun slide.

Stuff like that?

One of my classes was given the title 'The Gift' on a creative writing exam question recently. Any use?

Definitely useful. That should help me generate some ideas. Thank you!

A fun one from Fiction Writing was to write a short scene/story about someone completely different than you. In the story they have to be telling someone something important - there is a lot of leeway here. The MAIN thing is that you cannot write it as if you're in their head. It has to be as if you are merely a camera in the room describing their movements, facial expressions, and dialogue only. I forget what that POV is called - but it's pretty hard! You'll definitely end up with some good stuff though.

Oh, I think you've mentioned this exercise before.

Basically, I wouldn't be able to be in any of the characters' heads, right?

I'm excited, and a little wary, to try this!

Yep! Just like a reality show! I'd love to read what you end up with.

I've been thinking a lot about things that can be made with your hands, so something to do with crafting objects or working with the hands. Or building something and having nice sinewy flesh involved.

If anyone was going to mention "nice sinewy flesh," it was going to be you. ;)
