Mom and I agreed that we weren't going to watch the Academy Awards, but then Hugh Jackman sucked us in with the singing and the dancing. What can I say? I am a sucker for choreography.

Seriously. Dances, fights, car chases. I love that stuff. Which reminds me that Singin' in the Rain was on the other night. Still one of my favorite films. Oh, Gene Kelly. ♥

Anyway, I quite enjoyed tonight's show.

But now back to the evening Mom and I originally had planned. Oh, Netflix. What did I ever do without you?

I enjoyed the Oscars too! Especially that Kate Winslet and Sean Penn won. I was so happy that stupid Mickey Rourke didn't win. But bummed that Slumdog Millionaire won even though I haven't seen it. I just don't like when one movie everbody freaks out over. It's weird to me.

Hugh Jackman was great! Surprising but great!

Though I haven't seen Slumdog Millionaire either, I was fine with it winning. Underdog story and all that. And I'd actually only seen one of the nominees anyway (Benjamin Button). And they all seem like...smaller movies. Which is neat.

I have no idea if that makes sense outside of my own head.

I love Hugh Jackman. He's hosted the Tony's a few times, so I figured he'd make the best of it. I loved his opening sequence.
