How It Goes

All of the NCIS porning has thrown of my Due South groove.

That keeps happening to me. I'll start writing something slightly longer and then something will come along and district me. I'm just horribly undisciplined.

But there in my writing notebook there is an entry for every day in January. That was a goal that I actually achieved. A good deal of it will probably never lead to anything, but a few definitely turned into drabbles and ficlets. And the goal wasn't so much to finish things, but to keep those creative juices flowing.

On a completely unrelated note, I watched my first full episode of Gossip Girl tonight. They had their DVR set to record it and I figured, hey, I'll use it as background noise and played sudoku. Holy designer handbag, Batman. The DRAMA. That show is made of crazy. And while I can't see myself ever being really into it, the experience was entertaining.

Then they were recording One Tree Hill, which I haven't seen an episode of since it started when I was a freshman in college. Slightly less with the crazy. And parts were even kind of adorable (Dan and his grandson). The end made me teary.

And Medium is back! Yea! It was interesting. I read a short little review-thing in Entertainment Weekly and they felt that the soul swapping premise was pushing it too far. Actually watching the episode, I didn't think so. Given Allison's ability, I figure anything's potentially possible. And then it turned out it wasn't even paranormal at all, just a bad man using a woman's grief against her.

I felt so bad for Bridgette. Things are going to be tough on her. And weird. But that's one resilient little girl and that family is going to be there for her.
