OMG! DUVET!

I'd read that the sexual tension between Ned and Chuck was going to be dialed down a bit this season because they were, ahem, handling things. There had been one or two moments before that seemed to hint at how they were handling things and I certainly had my own ideas about that. But I wasn't really expecting them to actually go there.

But Chuck showed up and Ned's going on about metaphorical duvets and I'm going, "OMG she's naked under that, isn't she?!" HEEE!!!!

I love this show so much.

Well, when it started last season it wasn't expected to last very long, even by fans. Because it's "too different." And people who are fans of things that are "too different" know that things won't last long. Like Fox cancelling Wonderfalls after, like, three episodes. And, actually, Wonderfalls was created by the same guy that created Pushing Daisies.

It is amazing though, and I HIGHLY recommend it. Every episode is colorful and delightful and witty. The pilot episode (cleverly titled, "Pie-lette") is, for me, like curling up with a cup of tea and a big fluffy blanket.

what may be nice if they do end up canceling it, is that it will be easy to watch the entire series.

much like my stint w/ Arrested Development... easy to follow and short. sadly enough.

It's funny that you say that, since I often feel the same way after my initial moment of, "Those bastards are cancelling it?!" :)

For example, Wonderfalls was great and quirky, but would it have been able to maintain that past the thirteen filmed episodes? Maybe, maybe not. But I think better to have something short and amazing than have it lose its magic by going on for too long. Arguably what happened with The X-Files. And I, personally, think that's what's happened with Lost. Though that's apparently better now? I always thought it would have been cool if they'd ended after the first season. Just one solid year of something different.

British TV seems to do this, tell the storyline they want to tell and then call it good. And Battlestar Galactica cancelled itself because at the end of this season they'll have told the story they wanted.

I want to discuss stuff like this in a class. :(

blah, i still stand firmly with the idea that you should pursue a career in tv writing!

also, apparently this theory of "jumping the shark" is what is happening with HEROES.

Oh, I would looove to write for TV. I have ideas for TV. One especially that I've had simmering at the back of my head for at least a couple of years now.

I was just reading about Heroes jumping the shark yesterday! And I've got to agree. Each week I watch it, but there's always some time beforehand where I seriously think about changing the channel or doing something else. It's gotten pretty ridiculous.
