No One Expects the Spanish Inquisition

Yeah. Still annoyed.
The best part of the episode was the end, when my mom said, "Ah, what civilized gentlemen would do. Single malt whiskey and Cuban cigars that have been rolled on the thighs of young Cuban virgins."
Then she paused.
"I didn't say girls."
And then I was laughing too hard to pay attention to what John and Woolsey were talking about.
Otherwise, I just did not care.
What were all the other actors doing? I mean, Ronon, Teyla, and Rodney were kind of pointless, weren't they?
The whole thing was kind of pointless. Disappointing, since I previously thought it would be great if someone actually held them responsible for their actions. Oh well.
When Woolsey showed up and said he was going to take over their defense, my response was, "You weren't there, Woolsey. You won't have seen the clips."
I was kind of put off by John's attitude at the beginning. Maybe it was just that he was being defensive because, d'uh, trial. Plus, y'know, surprise trial. But I always felt he'd feel a bit more angst about the Wraith waking up. And John's just really bad at defending Atlantis, isn't he? Yikes. Thank goodness Woolsey showed up.
I really liked the parts with Woolsey and Lorne. Woolsey is fantastic, basically.
And I know I've been watching too much Due South now. When they woke up in the cell, and John didn't help Rodney up from the floor even though he was standing right there, sort of watching him, my first thought was that if that had been Fraser on the floor, Ray would have given him a hand. Or vice versa. And then they would have held hands.
So now I'm going to go watch DS, because that's my happy place of the moment.
